Verse 1

Abūj na būje tene kem kahiye, To gurnar vinā kem dhiāiye

English meaning: The foolish who does not understand, how can he be told that without the Imam and Pir how can religion be followed?

Verse 2

Gurnar sevā kāraṇtaṇe, To gaḍh amrāpūrī jāie

English meaning: Due to the obedience of the Imam and Pir the fort of the eternal abode can be reached.

Verse 3

Thūlne kem kahere kesrā, To gurnar vinā kem rahiye

English meaning: How can a stone be called God or how can a trunk be called saffron? How can one live without the Imam and Pir?

Verse 4

Mugtā māragno panth āglo, To prem tantav em pāiye

English meaning: The path to the salvation i s supreme. Achieve the gems of passion in this way.

Verse 5

Ātma heḍīne dīje sāmīne besṇū, To vīrābhāī pīr taṇā hoie

English meaning: Awaken the soul and offer a seat to the Lord. O brother! Belong to the Pir.

Verse 6

Sukh dukh beu banī āvshe, Paṇ radehthī dharam nā chhoḍiye

English meaning: Happiness and sorrow will keep on coming but do not forsake religion from the heart.

Māṇak motīnī gāṅṭh jo vāḷo, To vich vich hirḍā jaḍāiye

English meaning: Stud diamonds amongst the knot of rubies and pearls which you tie.

Ginān amī mahāras bhaṇe Pīr Sadardīn, To girbhāvāsnī vāchā sambhāriye

English meaning: Pir Sadardin (r.a.) says this sweet ginan full of wisdom. Recall the promise made in the womb of mother.
