Verse 1
Eji Ādam ād nirinjan, Nirguṇāpe arūp; Asal amārāsāmi tame, Judā paḍiyāthai rūp; Maher karo morāsāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇtamāri
English meaning: From the beginning of time, God the transcendent has existed, without qualities or form, by Himeself. O Lord! You are our real origin, though our forms have become separate. O my Lord! Be gracious, the weak have you as their refuge.
Verse 2
Eji anat jug amne vahi gayā, Rūp dhartāāviyā; Venti kartāamne bhav thayā, Sāmi tame joḍjoḍāvo; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Countless ages have passed since we have been adopting forms; an era has passed since we have been entreating. O Lord! Bring about the union.
Verse 3
Eji sunkālmāṅhe sāmi anat chalatra kidhā, Nirinjan rūpe ramiyā; Junājogi vilamb shūṅkaro, Rahesho keṭlok sāmi; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! In the time of Void, you performed endless marvelous deeds and sporte d in your transcendent form. O primordial yogi, why do you delay? O Lord! How long will you remain thus?
Verse 4
Eji sol thaḷmāṅhe sāmi tame ramat kari, Teni shūṅkarūṅvakhāṇ; Te dinni venti am taṇi, Sāmi tame dharjo kān; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! In the sixteen primal elements you sported; how can I praise that sport? Since that day we have been entreating, so lend us your ear o Lord.
Verse 5
Eji dhandhukār māṅhe nirinjan rūpe, Sāmi tame dhiyān ja dhariyā; Jeṇe jumle tamne jāṇiyā, Te munivarne tame variyā; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! In the darkness of your transcendent form, you were sunk in contemplation. The group which recognized you are the believers whom you wed.
Verse 6
Eji kalapmāṅhe kroḍiyūṅtāriyūṅ, Alakh āpe lakhāyā; Jakh megh kinar sarve, Sudhā kari tamne dhiyāyā; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! In the great cycles of time, crores have been saved, as the Invisible One has made Himself manifest. Three hundred and thirty million (thirty- three crores) of divine beings have meditated upon you in awareness.
Verse 7
Eji jugājugni hūṅ āsvanti chhūṅ, Nikāh kidhi nāe; Have ame thayābhar jobanmā, Lajārākho tribhovarnārāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Throughout ages I have waited in hope but you have not wed me. Now I am in the prime of my youth, so preserve my honour o Lord of the three worlds!
Verse 8
Eji hel bhari sāmi ame āviyā, Sāmi amāri hel utāro; Rakhe pāchhi hel phervo, Baksho dosh hamārā; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! I have come with the pots filled with water on my head. Take down my pots o Lord! For fear you may return my pots, I plead for your forgiveness of my sins.
Verse 9
Eji chheḍo nākhine sāmi dhāṅkjo, Avguṇam taṇā āe; Ame to abḷā ādhin chhūṅ, Lajātamāri ho rāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Cast a veil to cover me for I am full of faults. I am weak and dependent, and my honour lies with you o Lord.
Verse 10
Eji sāmi hūṅ āsvanti anat jug taṇi, Suṇo ho tribhovar rāe; Bhar joban māro āviyo, Have ame raheshūṅlajāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! I have waited in hope for endless ages; hear me o Lord of the three worlds! The prime of youth has come upon me, now I shall be put to shame.
Verse 11
Eji chār jugmāanat rupe hūṅphari, Nikāh toe na thāe; Nikāh paḍo mārānāthji, Maher karo Alivar rāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! In the four eras I have wandered in countless forms, but no marriage has taken place. O my Lord! Have the wedding performed. O Lord Ali (a.s.), be gracious.
Verse 12
Eji sāmi ame ekli keṭlik rahūṅ, Din duhāgmāṅhe jāe; Duhāg ṭāḷine sāmi suhāg karo, Lajārākho chaud bhamaṇnārāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! How long can I remain alone while my days pass in distressing separation? O Lord! Banish this distressing separation and turn it into married bliss. O Lord of the fourteen worlds, preserve my honor.
Verse 13
Eji māt tāt beni bandhvā, Nathi rākhti koe; Sharaṇtamāre āvi hūṅrahi, Lajā tamāri ho rāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Mother, father, sister, brother, no one is mine. I have come to you for protection. O Lord, my honour is in your hands.
Verse 14
Eji sāmi lāj hamāri jo jāese, To khoṭbesse tamne; Jāre mijlas melāvo karso, Tāre arukhāḍi ma karso amne; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! If I am dishonored the loss will be yours. When you conduct a meeting and a concourse, do not disgrace me.
Verse 15
Eji tāre ame tiyāṅpukārsūṅ, Jāre takhte besso ho rāj; Ād uṇiyādthi kar jāliyā, Te kem melo āj; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! At that time we will call you, O King, when you will sit on the throne. You have been holding my hand since the beginning, why leave it today?
Verse 16
Eji sāmi avguṇam taṇāma juo, Ame chhaie gunegār; Chheḍo nākhine sāmi dhāṅkjo, Hūṅchhaūṅbāḷkunvār; Maher ka ro morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Do not look at my faults; I am sinful. O Lord! Cover me with your skirt (or stole), I am just a (female) child.
Verse 18
Eji sāmiji nāriyūṅtamāriyūṅati ghaṇiyūṅ, Muj sarikhi lākho lākh; Tame chho alakh nirinjan, Ame chhaie dhūḷi khāk; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Your slaves are many; there are millions like me. You are incomprehensible and invisible; I am mere dust.
Verse 19
Eji sāmi hāth jāliyāni lāj āṇjo, Alakh lakhāvo tame premno pār; Prit karine amne paraṇjo, Ame chhaie gunegār; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Preserve the honor of holding my hand; O Lord! Reveal the secret of your love. Marry me with love; I am sinful.
Verse 20
Eji bhar joban māro āviyo, Sāmi eklo nahi ṅrahevāe; Bāher jāvāno eb chhe, Nikāh kari paraṇo ho rāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! The prime of my youth has come; Lord. now I cannot stay alone. It is considered bad to go out. O king! Marry me by performing the nikah.
Verse 21
Eji jān laine sāmi āvjo, Vār ma karso lagār; Maher karine sāmi āvjo, Hūṅchhaūṅtamāri nār; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Come with a marriage procession; do not delay even slightly. O Lord! Be merciful and come, I am your woman.
Verse 22
Eji sāmi tamāre nāme to hūṅchaḍi, Chaḍi te chok bajār; Jiyāṅkalap jugnājiv malse, Karoḍākaroḍapār; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! I am betrothed to you and (that too) publicly; where the believers of the great cycles of time will meet, who will be in crores.
Verse 23
Eji anat jiv jugnāmalse, Temā tame āvjo āp; Ḍhunḍhtāḍhunḍhtāsāmi āvjo, Abḷānārine pas; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Countless believers of the ages will meet; you yourself come amongst them. O Lord! Come searching near this weak woman.
Verse 24
Eji chāli chāli hūṅthāki rahi, Sāmi have nahiṅre chal āe; Avguṇhamārāsāmi tame ma juo, Sāmi have nahiṅre revāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! I am tired of walking continuously, now I (simply) can't walk. Lord! Do not look at our faults; now I cannot remain like this Lord.
Verse 25
Eji sāmi jal vināmachhli jem taḍphaḍe, Tem nar vināni nār; Paraṇvāno sāmān sāmi lāvjo, Vār ma karso lagār; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! As a fish suffers without water so does a soul without the Lord. Bring along the provisions for wedding; do not delay even slightly Lord.
Verse 26
Eji sāmi puraṇparibrahm tame alakh rūpi, Jugti sūṅvakhāṇūtamāri; Tej sarūpi sundari, Karoḍākaroḍja nāri; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! You are omnipresent in an incomprehensible form; how can I praise your wisdom? You have crores of refulgent, pretty and beautiful slaves.
Verse 27
Eji sāmi eviyūṅnāriyūṅtamāri arashaniyūṅ, Bahūchhe rūp apār; Ame to arūkhaḍi arūpaḍi, Teni lāj rākhjo bharthār; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! You have such celestial souls who are very beautiful. Neither do I have virtue nor beauty. Preserve my honor Lord.
Verse 28
Eji sā mi tamāre charaṇe chit choṭi rahiyūṅ, Bijā kene re valgūṅ; Birad amāro chhe sāmi tame varo, Khaṇ ma karjo re algūṅ; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! My attention is fixed on your feet; how can I turn to another? O Lord! My decision is that you wed me; do not forsake me even for a moment.
Verse 29
Eji sāmi lāj hamāri tame rākhjo, Bije hāthe kem re javāe; Tamārānāmno nāriel āviyo, Bijo kem jovāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Preserve my honor; how can I submit (myself) to another? Only your proposal (of marriage) has come, how can I turn to another?
Verse 30
Eji ādhin thaine hūṅventi karūṅ, Sāmi tame sāmbhaḷjo karaṇ; Kāṅik ādhin paṇe bakshjo, Sāmi tame asharaṇnāsharaṇ; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! I humbly entreat thus; Lord, listen attentively. Mercifully forgive me. O Lord! You are the refuge of the shelterless.
Verse 31
Eji sāmi abḷāte ātūr ati ghaṇī, Naiṇe jare chhe nir; Tam narne nāriyūṅghaṇiyūṅ, Māri jāṇone piḍ; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! This weak one is very restless; tears flowing from the eyes. You have many slaves; understand my pain Lord.
Verse 32
Eji sāmi kahi kahi hūṅketḷūṅkahūṅ, Sāmi tame chho rangi rāe; Maher karine sāmi mune maljo, To māri rahese lajāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! How long can I keep on saying? O Lord, you are the master of your own free will. O Lord! Be gracious and meet me so that my honour is preserved.
Verse 33
Eji avguṇamārātame manmāma dharo, Hūṅchhaūṅabḷā ādhin nār; Jobanvanti hūṅthai, Hūṅchhaūṅbāl kuṅvār; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Do not take my faults seriously, I am a weak and humble slave. I have grown young. I am a virgin soul.
Verse 34
Eji ambar ābhūshaṇje joie, Te sāmi sarve hūṅlāvūṅ; E to hamāro sāmi hamne male, To saṇgār sobhti hūṅ āvūṅ; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! I shall bring all the garments and jewelry which are required. If my Lord will meet me then I shall come bedecked with ornaments.
Verse 35
Eji sāmi hūṅ ād uṇiyādthi vinvūṅ, Jampu sās usās; Rome rome sāmi tame rami ja rahiyā, To pāp amārāsarve thāe nās; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! I have been entreating since the begining of time and remember you in each breath. You alone dwell in every part of me (in such a way that) all my sins will be removed.
Verse 36
Eji sāmi tamārānāmne partāpe kari, Jāuṅsarag ja māṅhe; Tiyāṅkeṭlāk chor āḍā beṭhā, Te tamārānāmthi algāthāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Through the mediation of your name, I will go to paradise. Many thieves will be sitting in between, who will go away by your name.
Verse 37
Eji sāmi ati dukh chhe saragni vāṭmā, Te tamārānāmthi dukh dūr ja thāe; Satgur sāheb to ek chhe, Te nām bhedthi oḷkhāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! There is much suffering on the paths of paradise; those sufferings will be removed by your name. The True Lord is one who is known by various names or is recognized by the secrets of his names.
Verse 38
Eji sāmi tamārānāmne partāpe kari, Māhāsamudar deve māg; Āvo kanth kirpākaro, Lāgūṅtamāre pāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Through the mediation of your name even the great ocean will make way. Come Lord, be gracious, I make obeisance (or pay homage) to you.
Verse 39
Eji sāmi gadgad kanṭhe tamne vinvūṅ, Hūṅvirehvanti manmāṅhe; Velāthaine sāmi āvjo, Māro bharjoban rahiyo nav jāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Sobbing and sighing I plead with. My heart pines in longing. O Lord, come soon, the prime of my youth is unable to remain (without you).
Verse 40
Eji sāmi kaljugni najarūṅ undhiyūṅ, Te karḍi najare joe; Kadāch sāmi am māṅhe bhul paḍe, To doetaḍ pharvūṅhoe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! The eyes of Kaliyuga are evil, they cast deadly looks. O Lord! In case I make a mistake then there will be misery in both the worlds.
Verse 41
Eji maher karo morājogiyā, Lejo amne ugār; Kūḍkapaṭe kaljug bhariyo, Temāvelākarjo amāri sār; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: Be gracious o my Yogi, kindly save me. Kaliyuga is full of falsehood and deceit, help us soon in this (era).
Verse 42
Eji sāmi māṅbāp sarve rāji chhe, Tamārāparaṇvāmāṅhe; Velāāvine sāmi paraṇjo, Rakhe vār ja thāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Mother and father are all willing in (my) marrying you. O Lord! Come soon and marry (me), lest it is too late.
Verse 43
Eji sāmi bhar joban māro pākiyo, Bār nikaltālāj ja thāe; Agnānni āṅch kalmāṅhe ghaṇi, Sāmi rakhe vaṇsi jāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! The prime of my youth is in full blossom; it is shameful to go out. The fire of ignorance is at its height in Kaliyuga, lest it spoil me.
Verse 44
Eji chori bāndhine sāmi paraṇjo, Sarve soṅsārmāṅhe; Jāher thaine sāmi shādi karo, To amne sohāg ja thāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Set up a canopy in front of everybody and marry (publicly). O Lord! Marry in manifestation so that I may enjoy the marital bliss.
Verse 45
Eji sohag sāmi mārāāpjo, Je anatthi uṭhāe; Uṇāpūrāje āsvantā, Sāmi sarve pār langāe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Grant me marital bliss so that I may be able to carry the burden of the countless (saved souls). The incomplete and the imperfect (ones) who are hopeful, o Lord, take them all ashore.
Verse 46
Eji nindāne je koi ochare, Te gurnarthi rahese dur; Tene shetān chopherthi phari vaḍe, Tene ginan nahiṅsuje re sūr; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O brother! The one who indulges in backbiting will remain away from the spiritual guide. Satan will surround him from all sides; he will not perceive knowledge even slightly.
Verse 47
Eji ilam vinā je vāt chhe, Te haiḍo kuṭine jāe; Evā jiv amthi algā rākhjo, To amne sohāg ja hoe; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Lord! Facts without knowledge are heartbreaking (or sorrowful). Keep such people away from us so that I may attain marital bliss.
Verse 48
Eji sāmbhḷo rikhisar karṇi karo, To shāhne man bhāvo; Sukrite shabade oḷkho, To āpe arpine āvo; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Believers! Listen, perform good deeds so that you become dear to the Lord’s heart. Recognize by means of good deeds and remembrance of the name, and submit yourself to him.
Verse 49
Eji sat shabade shāstre chāljo, To satgur sangat thāe; Satgurne radeh rākho munivaro, To prem ja pāo; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Brother! If you will act according to the true guidance of scriptures then you will obtain the company of the true guide. Keep the true guide in your heart so that you will obtain love.
Verse 50
Eji Pir Hasan Kabirdin nāri thaine vinve, Sri var sāmine valgūṅ; Āj kaljugmāṅhe jo gurnarne oḷkho, To kadi nahiṅthāse algūṅ; Maher karo morā sāiṅyā, Abḷā sharaṇ tamāri
English meaning: O Brother! Pir Hasan Kabirdin (r.a.) becoming a woman supplicates: I hold on to the Lord. If you recognize the spiritual master in the present era, then you will never be separated from him.
