jī āgam bhākhiyā gur pargaṭ beṭhā; gur āge ch ār rūp dekhāḍiyā ebī.
English meaning: O brother! The true guide about whom a prophesy was made is manifest. In the past the true guide has revealed four forms.

Verse 2
jī agam agochar ved vichāro ne rūp pichh āno; to nirmal karaṇī kamāvo ebī.
English meaning: O brother! He is incomprehensible and unseen. Contemplate on the Vedas, recognize the form and earn good deeds.

jī gur jugojug āviyā; to jugojug e ja vep āro ebī.
English meaning: O brother! The true guide has come in every era and in each era the same traders have come.

jī āṭh l ākh karaṇmāṅhe anat karoḍ; te satgure jīv chhoḍāviyā ebī.
English meaning: O brother! In eight hundred thousand eons the true guide saved countless million souls.

jī jakh megh kinar kalapmāṅhe huv ā; ā gure p ār langāviyā ebī.
English meaning: O brother! In the Kalap there were Yaksh, Megh and Kinnar (spiritual beings) whom this true guide saved.

jī pāṅch s āt nav b ār bhaṇīje; ā gurjīe jīv chho ḍāviyā ebī.
English meaning: O brother! (In the four yugas) this true guide saved fifty million, seventy million, ninety million and one hundred and twenty million souls respectively.

jī tetrīs karoḍ jīv chār juge tāriyā; gur anat karoḍno var lāviyā ebī.
English meaning: O brother! In the four yugas (he) saved three hundred and thirty million (33 crore) souls. The true guide has come with a promise of saving countless million souls.

jī jīv ker ā dātār āj Kehekm ā beṭhā; to nām Nur ^hāhā bhaṇāviyā ebī.
English meaning: O brother! The lord of the souls is sitting in Kahek (city) and has ac Ƌuired the name of Nur Shah (a.s.).

jī jugājuge āviyā ne rūp pherāviyā; munivarne nām suṇāviyā ebī.
English meaning: O brother! That Lord has come in every era and changed forms; and conveyed his nam e to the believers.

jī rūp pichh āno ne ginān vichāro; ā gur mukh karaṇī kamāvo ebī.
English meaning: O brother! Zecognize this form and contemplate on ginān (knowledge). Perform good deeds according to the teachings of the true guide.

jī bhāgya tehūnā jene satgur miliy ā; tenā man-nī bhrāntī c hhoḍāvī ebī.
English meaning: O brother! Fortunate are they who have found the true guide. He removed all doubts from their hearts.

jī lobhkū āv jīv g āfal beṭhā; to kāekū mūl gamāvo ebī.
English meaning: O brother! The man steeped in greed is sitting in oblivion. Why are you wasting your asset?

jī kanchan mukīne kāṅch vaṇaje; to kem karī l ābh pāvo ebī.
English meaning: O brother! If you will shun gold and trade in glass then how will you gain profit?
Verse 14
jī kāṅch ratan-n ā veher ā hose; to murakhe maram na pāyā ebī.
English meaning: O brother! Glass and gems will be separated; the foolish did n ot understand the secret.

jī lobh mūkī jeṇe māṇak vaṇajiyā; teṇe sukrit s āmal sāthe līdhī ebī.
English meaning: O brother! Whoever shunned greed and traded in gems, heͬshe took along excellent deeds.

jī iyāṅ kuchh devo vāhāṅ kuchh levo; to vaṇ diy ā kem pāvo ebī.
English meaning: O brother! Give something here (and) get something there. How will you obtain without giving?
Verse 17
jī khetī kamāī Alīnī jo na bohvo; to kem karī nipaj p āke ebī.
English meaning: O brother! If you will not sow the crop of Ali’s earnings then how will the crop grow?
Verse 18
jī satīyā kahāvo jīv sukrit na devo; to kem karī amar phal lesho ebī.
English meaning: O brother! You claim to be pious but do not offer virtuous deeds, then how will you obtain immortal rewards?
Verse 19
jī sāchī dasond sāmīnī āle; to te jīv amar dīdāri ebī.
English meaning: O brother! Whoever offers the true dasond of the lord, that person is an eternal dīdārī.

jī ginān mah āras bhaṇe gur Sohodev; tame jo jo ginān vichāri.
English meaning: O brother! Gur Sohodev (Pir Sadardin r.a.) says this ginān full of wisdom. Zeflect on the ginān.
