āj te amar āveā Sayyad /mam Shāh (ra) (Selected verses) jī āj We amar āveāH ane bhale padhāreā kirtārjī; Kāme kāje je jīv bhūlā, teno e܃e gayo avtārjī
English meaning: O brother! The command has come today, it is fortunate that Mawla has safely arrived. The one who became obsessed with carnal desires, his life gone waste.
jī ek chanTan pāse līmb chheH Wemāṅhe suganTh bahū apārjī; Tene re pāse polā vāṅsaḍāH Wemāṅhe suganTh nahīṅ re lagārjī
English meaning: O brother! A neem (margosa tree) stands beside a sandalwood tree, in which there is intense fragrance (due to the proximity of the sandalwood tree). esides it there are shallow bamboo trees as well, but they bear no fragrance at all.

English meaning: O king, the one who follows the right path! Ask, you will be granted the reward of your success. (The king reƋuested) O Mawla! We only desire to attain your dīdār.
