Verse 1

(Selected Verses) Jīrebhāīre ajar jareo na jāe bhorā mānvī, Sarve se thī nindā melī jī

English meaning: O innocent man! The immortal does not perish. Backbiting is the dirtiest of things.

Verse 2

Jīrebhāīre chalaṇ na chokhā mānvī najarnā melā, Pāp karīne jīvḍe dharam ja khoeā, Kahe mūrakh ame pīnḍhat dāeā jī

English meaning: O brother! Those whose deeds are not virtuous and whose sights are filled with evil, they lost their virtues by committing sins. These foolish ones claim that they are wise pandits (religious scholars).

Verse 3

Jīrebhāīre hūṅ hūṅ karīne jīvḍe janam harāeā, Teṇe jāṇī būjī janam harāeā jī

English meaning: O brother! He wasted his life in egotism; he knowingly squandered his life.

Verse 4

Jīrebhāīre ditnā hīṇā mānvī girabh na kīje, Eṇe eṇe girabhe āp ja khoeā jī

English meaning: O man devoid of generosity! Do not be proud. Due to such pride you have lost your own self.

Verse 6

Jīrebhāīre jīvḍāne kāraṇe gurnar jugājug āeā, Rūḍā ginān sūṇāeā, Rūḍā māṇak vohoro kāṅch se thī kām na sīje jī

English meaning: O brother! The true guide has come in every era for the sake of the soul and has narrated lovely ginan. Trade in the best diamonds; nothing will be attained by trading in glass.

Verse 7

Jīrebhāīre bharmājīnā bālkā te bhiram pīchhāṇe, Vednā hīṇā kām na sīje jī

English meaning: O brother! Brahma’s children recognize the spiritual knowledge. Nothing can be achieved without the knowledge of the Vedas.

Verse 8

Jīrebhāīre hī panth melīne dūjā panthne dhiyāve, Dūjā pīr māne, Te jīv shāhānī jot jugatthī bhūlā jī

English meaning: O brother! Those who shunning this path adopt another path and believe in another Pi r; they have gone astray from the light and the path of the Lord.

Verse 9

Jīrebhāīre āpṇo pīr melī je koī bījā pīrne ārādhe, Tene sahī karī jāṇo daīṅt kālīngānā chelā jī

English meaning: O brother! Those who shun their own Pir and follow another Pir, consider them truly as disciples of Dait .āOLQJā(the enemy of religion).

Verse 10

Jīrebhāīre ginān amī mahāras Pīr bhaṇāve Sadardin, Bhāī karṇī karsho to phal lesho jī

English meaning: O brother! Pir Sadardin (RA) says this ginan full of wisdom. If you will do good deeds you will obtain the reward.
