Verse 1

E virābhāi ākḍāmāṅhe ame bhed ja pāyā, Bhāi sohi bhed gure batāyāji

English meaning: O my brother! We obtained a secret in the plant of swallow-wort. The Pir is revealing that secret.

Verse 2

E virābhāi ākḍālai tenāsutar ja kāṅtiyā, Bhāi unki pāg banāi ji

English meaning: O my brother! Took the plant of swallow-wort, spun the yarn from it and made a turban out of it.

Verse 3

E virābhāi pāṅchso gajni pāg banāi, Bhāib a nāvi kidhi taiyār ji

English meaning: O my brother! Made a turban of five hundred yards (of cloth). O brother! Made it ready.

Verse 4

E virābhāi gaj gaj parmāṇe kari shafāat, Ham kiyākām tamām ji

English meaning: O my brother! Interceded on each yard, we completed the task.

Verse 5

E virābhāi satni dasond satsūṅdesho, To āgaḷtiyāṅphal lesho ji

English meaning: O my brother! Honestly offer the true Dasond then later (you) will obtain the reward there.

Verse 6

E virābhāi dasond dejo sukrit karvā, Te lai gurnar mukhe dharvāji

English meaning: O my brother! Offer Dasond to do Sukrit; offer it in the presence of the Gurnar.

Verse 7

E virābhāi jevo kamāvo tevo desho, To āgaḷam r āpuri phal lesho ji

English meaning: O my brother! Give as per your earnings then later you will obtain the reward of an eternal abode.

Verse 8

E virābhāi pārku laine amne desho, To āgaḷkiyāṅthi phal lesho ji

English meaning: O my brother! If (you) will offer us someone else’s earning then how will you obtain the reward ahead?

Verse 9

E virābhāi ek tal kenu jo amne ālo, Teno hisāb tam sar lāgo ji

English meaning: O my brother! If you offer me someone else’s thing as little as a sesame seed, then its account will be your responsibility.

Verse 10

E virābhāi sukrit karvāte āp kamāvo, To āpiyāvinākuchh na pāmo ji

English meaning: O my brother! To do Sukrit earn good deeds; without giving (you) will obtain nothing.

Verse 11

E virābhāi gurnarno āhār chhe sācho, Kiriyākartav vināsarve kācho ji

English meaning: O my brother! This is the meal of Gurnar. Without (good) deeds everything is incomplete.

Verse 12

E virābhāi melo māl jo dosand desho, Teno pāp tam sar lesho ji

English meaning: O my brother! If you will offer impure earnings as Dasond then its sin will be on your head.

Verse 13

E virābhāi ame beli tamārānahiṅthāshuṅ, Vachan boliyāte sāchūṅji

English meaning: O my brother! We will not be your helpers. We have stated the truth.

Verse 14

E virābhāi boliyābol te gurnar sāchūṅ, Te māek tal āghūṅna pāchhūṅji

English meaning: O my brother! Gurnar spoke the truth, without an iota of doubt

Verse 15

E virābhāi deṇu leṇu damḍi re dām, Tiyāṅsahu sahu māthe chhe bhār ji

English meaning: O my brother! However small the amount of transaction, each one will bear his own responsibility there.

Verse 16

E virābhāi dharam ka rtāvilamb na kije, Ane dān satsūṅdije ji

English meaning: O my brother! Do not delay in performing good deeds, and honestly offer Dasond and charity.

Verse 17

E virābhāi bij shukarvārinūvarat chhe moṭūṅ, Evo dharam rakhe kartākhoṭūṅji

English meaning: O my brother! The fast of Shukarwari Bij is great, may you not shun such good deeds.

Verse 18

E virābhāi madh rāte tame āpe jāgo, Araj bandagi shāhjisūṅ māngo ji

English meaning: O my brother! Keep vigil at midnight; Entreat, worship and seek from the Lord.

Verse 19

E virābhāi ghaṭkaḷashni thāpnā jo karvi, Tiyāṅ bahu tareh āshish bharvi ji

English meaning: O my brother! Establish the Gha ṭpāt and pray there in many ways.

Verse 20

E virābhāi sahejādān tame ālo jevi, Ghar sampat hoe ālo tevi ji

English meaning: O my brother! Be charitable willingly; offer as your resources allow.

Verse 21

E virābhāi abhiāgatne tame jamāḍo, To āpṇāgurnar nu nām pichhāṇo ji

English meaning: O my brother! Feed the guest and recognize the name of your Gurnar.

Verse 22

E virābhāi hāl vāeke jevo āpṇo hoi, Tiyāṅdhiyānrākho sohi ji

English meaning: O my brother! As is your condition, take care accordingly.

Verse 23

E virābhāi hāth joḍine satsūṅrahie, Ādhin thaine shāh shāh kahie ji

English meaning: O my brother! With folded hands remain truthful, humbly take the name of the Lord.

Verse 24

E virābhāi unkāpāp parle jāve, Nirmal mane shāh pāve ji

English meaning: O my brother! Their sins are removed and with a pure heart they obtain the Lord.

Verse 25

E virābhāi amārāvachan lope āp āchāri, Unkāpāp un sar jāri ji

English meaning: O my brother! Whoever acts willfully disobeys our command, its sin is upon his head.

Verse 26

E virābhāis a t nādān dev e im āni, E āroge shāh gur ginān ji

English meaning: O my brother! Believers offer truth as charity. According to the Pir's ginan the Lord feeds upon it.

Verse 27

E virābhāi jugājugkā bhulā āpku jāṇo, Have tame chitmā kāeṅ na āṇo ji

English meaning: O ages-old oblivious ones! Recognize yourself. Why do you not contemplate in your heart?

Verse 28

E virābhāi abkā bhulā narage jāsho, Pir Hasan Kabirdin kahe sāchūṅji

English meaning: O my brother! If you forget this time then you will go to hell; Pir Hasan Kabirdin (r.a.) speaks the truth.
