Verse 1

jī ame na āviye gām-ma, ane rahiye eṇe ṭhām; k darvājo ughāḍjo, tyāṅ lejo amārū nām

English meaning: O brother! (The Pir replied that) we will not come to the village and will stay at this very place. Open one door and take our name therein.

Verse 2

jī atīt āviyā uWāv܃ā, ane didho rajāṇe javāb; Ek darvājo ughāḍjoH tyāṅ lejo amārū nām

English meaning: O brother! That ascetic came hurriedly and replied to the king that (the Pir has said that) open one door and take his name therein.

Verse 3

jī rājā tarat uṭhiyāH āviyā darvāje sām; Ubhī ardās karīH pīr fakīrnū līThū nām

English meaning: O brother! The king immediately rose and came in front of the gate. Stood reƋuesting and took the name of the spiritual guide.

Verse 4

jī rājā sāmā chāliyāH ane sāthe māṇas lākh; Sarve van sunmā āviyāH ūbhā chhe pīrne pās

English meaning: O brother! The king walked ahead and there were one hundred thousand (one lakh) people with him. All came to the deserted jungle and stood near the Pir.

Verse 5

jī rājā pāe lāgi karīH ane ūbhā kare ardās; Sāmī Wame paThārjo, gām madhe karo vās

English meaning: O brother! The king touched the feet (of the Pir) and stood reƋuesting that O lord͗ please come and reside in the village.

Verse 6

jī Pīr Shams Wab boliyāH ame bes-sūṅ āṇe van; Amne tamāre māṇase besāḍiyāH āvī khetar sun

English meaning: O brother! Then Pir Shams (ra) said that we will stay in this very jungle. Your subjecWs have brought us to this deserted field.

Verse 7

jī satgur Shams ne vinvāH ane rājā lāgā pāe; Pīrjī Wame paThārjo, tāre saragthī utri ek gāe

English meaning: O brother! The king entreated Pir Shams (ra) and touched his feet. O Pir! Please come forth. Then a cow descended from the heaven.

Verse 8

jī satgur Shams vāchā ochare, ane sāmbh܃o bhagat vīr; Gāenā pāe pakhāro, lāvo poṭaḍiyo nīr

English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams (ra) said͗ O devotees! >isten! Wash the cow͛s feet, bring the waterskin of water.

Verse 9

jī satgur Shams farmāviyāH ane bhagaW lāviyā nīr; Gangā jal chhanṭāviyoH sarve khalak ne sarīr

English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams (ra) pronounced and the devotee brought water. The Ganges͛ water was sprinkled on everyone͛s body.

Verse 10

jī vāṭko simrase kāḍhiyo, āviyā gāene pās; Mūdh doi karī rākhiyāH Pīr Shamsne hāth

English meaning: O brother! simras took out a bowl and came near the cow. Having milked (the cow) kept the bowl in Pir Shams͛s hands.

Verse 11

jī satgur Shams boliyāH rājā tame rākho hāth; Sahūne TūTh āpjo, je āviyā Wamāre sāth

English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams (ra) said͗ O king! Keep your hand on it. >et all those who have come with you partake of the milk.

Verse 12

jī rājā kahe rakhe koī jāto, va܃ī hoṭnagarmāṅhe; Pīrno dūTh pī karīH pachhī sarve jāe

English meaning: O brother! The king said that no one should return to hoṭ Eagar. veryone should partake of the milk given by the Pir and then leave.

Verse 13

jī sahūne sīṅche rājāH ane va܃ī vāṭke vichār; Sahūe pidho premsūṅ Hvāṭkāno na āviyo pār

English meaning: O brother! The king offered the milk to everyone and his concentration is on the bowl. All partook lovingly yet the bowl was not empty.

Verse 14

jī rājā evsang rāṇī bolāviyāH ane āviyā pādarmāṅhe; hheḍā chhoḍī karīH pīrne lāgā pāe

English meaning: O brother! King evsangh summoned the Ƌueen who came in the field. Without caring for anybody she touched the feet of the Pir.

Verse 15

jī satgur Shamse āsīs TīThīH bāī Wamāro hojo vaikunṭh vās; Zāṇīnū nām SīlvanWī SaTājīH We āvī rājāne pās

English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams (ra) blessed her saying O sister! You may be blessed with an abode in the paradise. The name of the Ƌueen who came to the king was Sīlvantī Sadājī.

Verse 16

jī rājā Zāmsang ev, ane rāṇī SīlvanWī SaTājī āe; E be jaṇā ūbhā chheH We venWī kare atī jāe

English meaning: O brother! oth King Zamsangh ev and Kueen Sīlvantī Sadājī are standing and entreating intensely.

Verse 17

jī Wame jāo mindar potā WaṇeH amāro to iyāṅ vās; Pīrne pāse ūbhā rahiyāH simras Surbhāṇ jāṇ

English meaning: O brother! (Pir Shams said)͗ return to your home, our dwelling is here. simras and Surbhāṇ HWhe servants of the Pir, stood near him.

Verse 18

jī rājā bahū royāH ane rāṇī kare vichār; Satgurjī moṭā chho, sāmī amne lejo ugār

English meaning: O brother! The king wept a lot and the Ƌueen is thinking. O Pir! You are great. Grant us salvation O lord.

Verse 19

jī rāṇīe rajāne kahiyūH ane pīrne lāgīe pāe; ઑpṇe enā thai rahieH pachhī āpṇe jāie gharmāṅe

English meaning: O brother! The Ƌueen said to the king͗ let us touch the feet of the Pir. >et us submit to him; after that we shall go home.

Verse 20

jī rājā boliyā bahū pere, sāmī nāth karo pāvan; Amne tamārā karo, pachhī arogsūṅ ann

English meaning: O brother! The king entreated intensely saying O lord! Purify us; make us your own, then only we shall partake of food.

Verse 21

jī satgur Shams em boliyā, ame utariyā haWā ole pār; Tyāṅ Wamārā lok boliyāH musalmān kem rahe upar vār

English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams (ra) said that we had landed on the other side, there your people said that how could Muslims live near the border (or on the upper side) of Whe village.

Verse 22

jī pachchham pāḍāno vāṇiyo, Zugjī Zanchhoḍ Wenū nām; Trikamjī tāre āviyoH ane āviyo sāro gām

English meaning: O brother! A brahmin from the west side, named Zugji Zanchod Tarikamji, came and the whole village came too.

Verse 23

jī satgurjī ame na jāṇiyo, tame moṭā puras parmāṇ; Have ame saTā sevāk Wamārā, tame chho dīn dayāl

English meaning: O brother! He said O true guide! We did not know that you are indeed a great human being. Eow we are your servants forever, you are kind to the poor.

Verse 24

jī rājāko raiyat tamārī varo, ane karo amārī sār; Have Tin āviyo āWhmīH ane Whai chhe sānjnī v ār

English meaning: O brother! (He said) accept the king and the subjects as your own (people) and help us. Eow the day is enTing anT evening has fallen.

Verse 25

jī savant agyār aṭhlotar, kārtak vad umās; Gurjī thānak kariyoH tāre hato budhvār

English meaning: O brother! /t was the year Savant ϭϭϳϴ, the month of Kartak sad (the second half) and the last date of the lunar month when the Pir set up his centre. That was Wednesday.

Verse 26

jī dharam vīraWnī vāt mānThīH ane mānḍhiyo ghaṭpāṭ; Gām sarve niyamiyo, lok maliyā chhe ṭhāṭh

English meaning: O brother! The Pir revealed the practice of faith and fasting, and set up the ritual of ghaܩpāܩ. He organized the whole village and a large crowd of people gathered.

Verse 27

jī sinter khānā kariyāH ane traṇso sāṭh maṭhThār; Sarve gaW bhe܃ī karīH āviyā rāj Tuvār

English meaning: O brother! He set up seventy (ϳϬ) :amatkhanas and appointed three hundred and sixty (ϯϲϬ) leaders. Gathered the whole :amat and came to the king͛s court.

Verse 28

jī satgur Shams dharam āliyo, BhagaW simras Surbhāṇ jāṇ; Gur ginānī boliyāH rājā sāmbh܃i vāṇ

English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams (ra) presented the faith, and said that simras and Surbhāṇ are devotees. The wise devotees addressed and the king listened.

Verse 29

jī pīrnī pāṅtī Tasond āljo, dejo musāfarne hāth; Koḍī Tamḍī je thāeH We rājā rākho pās

English meaning: O brother! (He said) submit dasond, the due of the Pir and deliver to the Musāfir (the collector of the /mam͛s dues). O king! Keep with you each and every penny collected.

Verse 30

jī rākho rājā rāṇī darbārmāH je nīpaj gurnī thāe; Sarve milī ekṭhī karo, te amne poṅche thānakmāṅe

English meaning: O brother! (He said) keep in the king͛s court whatever dues of the Pir is collected. ollect everything and send to me at the centre.

Verse 31

jī pachchham darvāje gaW mileH Zugjī Zanchhoḍ Trikam jāṇ; Sarve āvī male, gurjīne thānak nirvāṇ

English meaning: O brother! (He said) the :amat should gather at the door in the west at the house of Zugji Zanchod Tarikam. veryone should meet at the center of the Pir.

Verse 32

jī maṭhThārī traṇso sāṭhH va܃ī male ekṭha āe; sarat dharam ṭhekāṇe karīH Shīvbhaṭ bhanḍāre jāe

English meaning: O brother! (He said) that all ϯϲϬ leaders should meet at one place. Perform the ritual of fast and faith, and go to Shivbhat͛s alms house.

Verse 33

jī Shīvbhaṭ āviyo MevāsangH ane Gāekvāṇā jāW; Te sarvene samjāvse, gurnā ginānnī vāt

English meaning: O brother! Shivbhat came to evsangh, he belongs to Gāek sāṇā community. He will relate the Pir͛s knowledge to everybody.

Verse 34

jī dharam niyam thāpī karī, ane gurjīe āliyo jāp; Satgure sahūne baWāviyāH ame chhaie Wamāre pās

English meaning: O brother! After granting religion and disciplines the Pir blessed them with the zikr (mantra). Pir Shams (ra) said to everybody that we are with you.

Verse 35

jī bhagaW pāṭe besāḍiyā; ane japāviyā gurnā jāp; Sahū mane raliyāt thayā; āviyā gurjīne pās

English meaning: O brother! He made the devotee sit at the pāܩ (low wooden table) and recite the zikr of the Pir. veryone was very pleased and came to the Pir.

Verse 36

jī rājā rāṇī em ochare, gurjī āvjo amāre gher; Tame uṭhiyā pachhī sāmījīH amārī sī per

English meaning: O brother! The king and the Ƌueen entreated͗ O Pir! Please come to our house. O lord! who will take care of us after you leave͍

Verse 37

jī satgur Shams em boliyāH ame āvsūṅ Wamāre pās; Ek mane ārādhjo, tamārū Whāese vaikunṭh vās

English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams (ra) said that we will visit you. Obey wholeheartedly and you will obtain an abode in heaven.

Verse 38

jī satgur Shams em boliyāH ame jāsūṅ jampūdīp minjār; Tyāṅ thānak amārū chhe, tame karjo tenī sambhār

English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams (ra) said that we will go to :ampudip (/ndia); remember that we have our center there (or look after the center which is here).

Verse 39

jī satgur Shams uṭhiyā, rajāne kahī ek vāt; Sahūne parchhāvjo, japo ajapiyā jāp

English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams (ra) stood up and said something to the king. (He said that) tell everyone to remember the silent (unuttered) zikr.

Verse 40

jī Satgur Shams vāchā ochare, rājā rākhjo visvās; Amārā bhagaW be chheH We chhe amārā dās

English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams (ra) said that O king! Have faith. We have two devotees who are our servants.
