(Selected Verses) Jīre bhāī āvo rikhīsar tame tīrath nāvo, Apṇā sāhebe shūṅ shūṅ farmāyā jī ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O believers! Come and purify yourself by bathing at the tirth (holy place of Jamatkhana). What has our Lord said?
Jīre bhāī sāhebe farmāyā te gure kahī sambhlāviyā, Bhāī gurjī kahe tem chālo ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Whatever the Lord has said the guru has conveyed. Act according to the words of the guru.
Jīre bhāī gurgat gangāmāṅhe tame nirmal thaī āvo, Āvī sat dharamsūṅ tame rācho ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Come to Gur Gat Gangā(Jamatkhana) after having cleaned yourselves. Come and engross yourself in the true religion.
Jīre bhāī kāyānā bandhāṇ tame kāyāmā bāndho, Bandh rākhiyā vinā kem pāmso ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Discipline your body; how will you obtain (the reward) without disciplining the body.
Jīre bhāī moh māyānī tame mamtā melo, Pūraṇkarṇī gurjīsūṅ rākho ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Shun the love of the world and greed of māyā(fantasy). Perform all your tasks according to the teachings of the guru.
Jīre bhāī evī karṇī gurjīe farmāvī te dilsūṅ rākho, To tame kāṅkāṇ bandhāvo ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Keep in your heart the task the guru has shown (and) tie the kā۪ka۬(offer bay‘at).
Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ bandhāvī tame sūtak ṭāḷo, To kāṅkaṇ sonānā hoe ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Having tied the kā۪ka۬(offering bay‘at) shun impurity then the kā۪ka۬will prove to be of gold.
Jīre bhāī sūtak ṭāḷī tame kāṅkaṇp ā r o, Ane pūraṇ prīt Alīsūṅ rākho ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Having shun impurity act on (the teachings of) Nā۪ka۬and keep complete love for Mawla Ali (AS)
Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ vinā vīrā oḷkhāṇ nāhī, Te to tame kāṅe na bandhāvo ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! There is no identity without Nā۪ka۬ ;why don’t you have it tied?
Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ bandhāvī ane sūtak na rākhe, Evī gurjīsūṅ prīt ja rākho ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Have a Nā۪ka۬tied and do not keep impurity; foster such love for the guru.
Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ bandhāviyā tāre narage na jāo, Ane kāyāmāṅhe evo rang āve ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! When you have got tied the Nā۪ka۬you will not go to hell. Your being will have such colors.
Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ bandhāvī tame surat nirat ja rākho, Kāṅkaṇ parsāde vīrā bhāī chhūṭo ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Having tied the Nā۪ka۬keep your thoughts focused on it. You will obtain salvation due to the blessings of the Nā۪ka۬.
Jīre bhāī hāthe amrāpūrī tame kāṅī gamāvo, To āgaḷ thai gayā tevā tame thāvo ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Why do you lose the paradise which is in your hand? Be like those before you.
Jīre bhāī āgaḷ thai gayā te karṇī kartā, Evo satgurno bol sahī karī jāṇo ho jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Those who were before you used to perform good deeds. Consider these words of the guru as true
Jīre bhāī kalīkārmāṅhe tame tarī karī jāsho, Tāre jīv janjāḷthī chhūṭe ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! When you will reach the other shore (acquire salvation) in this Kali Yuga then the soul will obtain liberation from entanglement.
Jīre bhāī dharam mārag to īmān jāṇo, Ane īmāne kāṅkaṇbandhāvo ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! The path of religion is faith; tie the Nā۪ka۬ with faith.
Jīre bhāī chār jugnā jīvḍā pherāmāṅhe paḍiyā, Kāṅkaṇ bandhāvo tāre jīv chhūṭe ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! The people of the four yugas have fallen into cycles. When you will tie the Nā۪ka۬you will obtain salvation.
Jīre bhāī duniyāmāṅhe jem agan ja kahiye, Tem dav māṅhe lāgo te kem karī būje ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! As fire exists in the world, similarly when the inner world catches fire how can it be extinguished?
Jīre bhāī ann pāṇīnā parab chalāve, Dav lāgo te kem karī būje ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Grains and wate r are being distributed (everywhere), but if they catch fire then how can it be extinguished?
Jīre bhāī dav lāgo tāre kenū nahīṅ chāle, Pachhe sarve nānā moṭā baḷī mare ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! When the fire blazes then everybody is helpless. Big and small are all burnt to death.
Jīre bhāī dav lāgo tāre Alīe joiyā, Tāre meghā ḍamar varsāeyā ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! When the fire blazed then Ali (AS) saw (it). He caused heavy rains to fall.
Jīre bhāī āviyā megh tiyāṅ anat ja ūṭhā, Tāre tiyāṅ davnū nahīṅ chāliyo ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! When the rain fell, it fell heavily; then the fire became harmless there.
Jīre bhāī tārī kāyāmāṅhe dav ja lāgo, Te jugno dav sarvene bāḷe ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! There is a fire blazing within your being. This fire of the world consumes everybody.
Jīre bhāī jugno dav temāṅhe kaīk vaṇse, Temāṅhe koī koī bachī āve ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Many people will burn in this fire of the world; hardly will anybody escape from this.
Jīre bhāī kharī dasond nepūro dharam ja āle, Tene dav na lāge ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Whosoever will (give) complete dasond and will act upon religion completely, the fire will not affect them.
Jīre bhāī jāṅ lagī kāyāmāṅhe dav rahe, Tāṅ lagī kāṅī kām na āve ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! As long as the fire exists within the being, nothing will be of any use.
Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ bandhāviyā tāre megh ja milyā, Tāre dave tiyāṅjor ja meliyā ho jīre bhāī. Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ bandhāviyā tāre ginān jal āviyā, Tāre dav dāṇavnū tiyāṅ nahīṅ chāle ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! When the Nā۪ka۬was tied, the water of knowledge was obtained. Then the fire-like enemy of religion became powerless.
Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ bāndhiyā tāre kāyāmāṅhethī dav ja ūḍiyā, Tāre kāyāmā niyāmat āve ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! When the Nā۪ka۬was tied then the fire flew away from the body. Then grace descends on the body.
Jīre bhāī dav hato te bāḷīne meliyo, Tenū kastar kem karī kāḍho ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! The ashes left by the fire after consuming everything, how can they be removed?
Jīre bhāī kāyā pākī dav bāḷī meliyā, Jāre sūtak pātak kholeā ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! When impurity & sin were revealed, then the body became strong and the fire was extinguished.
Jīre bhāī sūtak pātak jāre khūlīne jāe, Tāre kastar kāḍhī nākhe ho jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! When impurity and sins are revealed, the impurity is removed.
Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ sūtak jeṇe dilsūṅpāḷiyā, Tene āgal gunā nahīṅ hose ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! He who tied the Nā۪ka۬and removed impurity from the heart, there will be no sins for them in future.
Jīre bhāī dasond te to devūṅ karīne āviyā, Temāṅhe tamne gure sūṅ sūṅ farmāviyā ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! We have come with a promise to pay dasond. What has the spiritual guide instructed you regarding this?
Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ sūtak kāyānī vāḍī, Tenū tamne te sūṅ sūṅ kahiye ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! To remove impurity according to the Nā۪ka۬is like a garden of the body. What more can we tell you about it?
Jīre bhāī dāridar gaḷiyānā e chhe bhed, Tame dāridar duniyānū ṭāḷo ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! This is the secret of removing impurity. Remove the dirt of the world.
Jīre bhāī dāridar rākhīne dharam ja āle, Te to dharamne dāridar khāve ho jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! The one who acts on religion with impurity in the heart, then that impurity devours religious deeds.
Jīre bhāī dhartī kheḍī tame mol ja vāvo, Temāṅhe jo nīndāmaṇ na rākho ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Till the land and sow the crop; do not let the weeds remain.
Jīre bhāī nīndāmaṇ vādhe tāre mol nahīṅ thāe moṭo, Tāre te mol nīndāmaṇmāṅhe jāve ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! If the weeds increase, the crop will not be good; then the crop will go with the weeds.
Jīre bhāī dhartī kheḍiye te to satpanth jāṇo, Ane mol te dasond parmāṇo ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Tilling the land is acting upon the Satpanth and the crop is dasond.
Jīre bhāī nīndāmaṇ tame sūtak jāṇo, Sūtak hove tāṅ lagī mol nahīṅ āve ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Weeds are impurities. As long as there is impurity, the crop will not grow.
Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ bāndhiyā tāre hāthe hathiyār thayā, Tāre nīndāmaṇ te dhrujvāne lāge ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! When the Nā۪ka۬was tied it was as if you obtained weapons in hand; then the weeds began to tremble (with fear).
Jīre bhāī sūtak nīndāmaṇte to balvant kahiye, Tene keḍe kāṅkaṇ kīje ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! The weeds of impurity are very strong; send the Nā۪ka۬to pursue them.
Jīre bhāī satpanthī thaī je sūtak na pāle, Te to satpanthī kem kevāe ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Being a 6DWSDQWKī( a f o llo w e r o f th e tr u e path) if one does not act upon the teachings of removing impurity then how can he be called a 6DWSDQWKī.
Jīre bhāī āre kāyāmāthe eṭlā chhe dukh, To tame sūtak kem karī rākho ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! When there is so much suffering for the body then why do you keep impurity?
Jīre bhāī kāṅkaṇ bandhāviyā tāre gure diyā hāth, Te to gurnū hāth kem karī melo ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! When the Nā۪ka۬was tied then the spiritual guide gave the support of his hands; why do you leave the hands of this spiritual guide?
Jīre bhāī Pir Hasan Kabirdin ginān suṇāyā, Gatkūṅ kahī samjāyā ho jīre bhāī
English meaning: O brother! Pir Hasan Kabirdin (RA) has said this ginan, and explained it to the Jamat.
