Verse 1
jī bhagaW pāse āviyāH sahū āvī kariyo vichār; BhagaW evī baWāvjo, jyāṅthī chhūṭie jīvnī janjār
English meaning: O brother! They came to the devotees (simras and Surbhāṇ) and reƋuested that O devotees! Show us such (a path) that the soul͛s encumbrance comes to an end.
Verse 2
jī bhagaW ginān boliyāH ane saWpaṇWhnī sāmbh܃ī vāt; Tāre sarvene harākh thayo, amne evā karo sangāW
English meaning: O brother! The devotees revealed facts of knowledge. They became very happy after listening to the facts about the satpanth (true path), and said that we want such companionship.
Verse 3
jī sahū malīne āviyāH mānḍheo thāpnāno vichār; Ghaṭ mānḍhī kalas Whāpeo, pāyo niyam sār
English meaning: O brother! They all came together and decided to set up ghaܩpāܩ. They set up ghaܩpāܩ anT made everybody to partake of āb-e-shafā.
Verse 4
simras niyam varat āpiyo, Surbhāṇ shāstra vāṅche jāṇ; Kāṅkaṇ bānThī Gur ShamseH sarve ne nirvāṇ
English meaning: O brother! simras showed the way of fasting and Surbhāṇ read from knowledge. Pir Shams (ra) WieT kāܕkaܖ (a thread of discipleship) to everybody and converted them all into disciples.
Verse 5
jī Pīr Shams vāchā ochare, gurnī dāsond dejo dān; Vaikunṭh ghar pāmsoH amrāpūrīmā Whase mān
English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams (ra) said͗ Offer dasond to the Pir then you will obtain an abode in the paradise, and gain honor in the eternal abode.
Verse 6
jī evā vachan gur kahī chāleāH ane sangne īmān āviyo sār; Pīr Shams chāliyā uWāvlāH āviyā jangalne ṭhār
English meaning: O brother! After saying this the Pir departed and the whole group obtained faith. Pir Shams (ra) departed hurriedly and came to the jungle.
