Verse 1

Chandra gayā gagan surīj jo na hāṭā, To pavan chaḍiyo ophrāṭejī

English meaning: The moon disappeared from the sky, the sun too is not visible and the wind is swift and violent.

Marshore loko tame e māyāno bāndho, To kaljug kuḍā chhe dhandhājī

English meaning: O folks bound to the love of the world! You will die and the trade of Kali Yuga is false.

Āj kalatra kāran putra jo pyārā, To kāhe na cheto murakh andhājī

English meaning: Today, because of wife the son is dear; O foolish blind one! Why are you not vigilant?

Vīḍāho pinglā beu dājhvā lāgiyā, To gangā pāchhamthī āvījī

English meaning: Inglāand Pinglāboth began to burn and Ganges came from the west.

Kāyānī kopal kumlāvā lāgī, To tarvar chhoḍī chhe āshājī

Tis thakī tame beu ghaḍī jāgo, To tyāṅ phire chhe jamnā herājī
