Verse 1

Dhan dhan sāmī rājā tūṅsirjaṇhār sāiṅjī, Sheshṭrachāi shāh more dhandhukār sāiṅjī

English meaning: Bravo! O Lord King! You are the Creator. My Lord has created the universe from void.

Verse 2

NabīMuhammad meḍe shāhdāpyārā sāiṅjī, NabīMuhammad sar paghar chaliyā sāiṅjī

English meaning: Prophet Muhammad (s.a.s .) is dear to my Lord; Prophet Muhammad's head is sweating.

Verse 3

Usne paghare chār firastāupāyā sāiṅjī, Hukam kidhāā ṇiyūṅmāṭībandedābut banāyo sāiṅjī

English meaning: The Lord created four angels from that sweat. (He) ordered them to bring clay and form a mould of man.

Verse 4

Jāi malāek maṭi kāpaṇlāgā sāiṅjī, Maṭīrovaṇlāgī sāiṅjī

English meaning: When the angels started to dig the clay, the clay started to weep.5. (The angels said:) O clay do not weep, this is my Lord's command. (They) brought water and made the yeast of man.

Verse 5

Na ruo maṭi mere shāhdāfarmān huā sāiṅjī, Āṇiyūṅ pāṇī bandedā khamīr machāyā sāiṅjī

Verse 6

Khamīr machāyābandedābut banāyās ā i ṅ j ī, Sate āsmāne bandedārūh mangāyā sāiṅjī

English meaning: Having made the yeast shaped the mould of man and from the seventh heaven called man's soul.

Verse 7

Vaṇve rūh andar kāyākoṭīchhe tamārī sāiṅjī, Rūh jue to āge hae andherā sāiṅjī

English meaning: (He said) O soul! Enter the body, this is your dwelling. The soul saw that there was only darkness ahead.

Verse 8

E nahīṅchhe man hamārā sāiṅjī, Jemāmeṅvaṇvūṅtemājo pharīkāḍhegā sāiṅjī

English meaning: (The soul said:) I do not feel like entering it; but I will enter on the condition that the Lord bring me out again.

Verse 9

Kīdhākol karār meḍe hansedārājā VāLṅMī, Dejo Dasond bandādharam udhārā VāLṅMī

English meaning: My King of souls promised and said: O man! Offer Dasond; religion will save you.

Verse 10

Duniyāme āyo bando gaflat huā VāLṅMī, Duniyāje dhandhe bando āṇe vigoyo VāLṅMī

English meaning: Upon coming in the world man fell into oblivion; he followed his will in carrying out the business of the world and went astray.

Verse 11

Gaṇīpunībandedīumar bharāṇī VāLṅMī, Divedījot bandedīvaṭlaḍīhui VāLṅMī

English meaning: The limited life of the man ended; the light of his life ended like the wick of a lamp.

Verse 12

Bhāvare malīkīdho chhe ḍhoḍevo VāLṅMī, Āṇiyūṅ Sāṇībandedāpinḍpakhāro VāLṅMī

English meaning: The brothers together performed the rituals of his body; (they said): Bring water and bathe the body of the man.

Verse 13

Achhāachhākapḍābandedāang lagāḍiyāV ā L ṅ M ī, Usne pakhāre bando ghare sadhāriyo VāLṅMī

English meaning: (They) covered his body with white cloth; in this condition the man departed for his original home.

Verse 14

Manjetālāe bandekūbhūṅkūlāyā VāLṅMī, Nankaṇlāge jand bandedīkapaṇlāgī VāLṅMī

English meaning: He was moved from the bed onto the floor; his soul shivered and wept.

Verse 15

Nekībadībandedīlikhīmalāek VāLṅMī, Dargāsāhebje thindīvilāet VāLṅMī

English meaning: The angels had recorded the virtues and vices of the man; their account would be taken in the Lord’s presence.

Verse 16

Sācheku sāmīrājo dese baheshtmājulāṇā VāLṅMī, E ginānm a hāras Pīr Shams boliyā VāLṅMī

English meaning: My Lord King will give the swings of paradise to the truthfulls; Pir Shams (r.a.) says this ginan which is full of wisdom.
