Verse 1

dharam mūrat paelāgur EKīrmā SLFKKāṇo PīrHasan Kabīrdīn(ra) Jīrebhāi dharam mūrat paelāgur bhīrmā pichhāṇo, To āgur vinā jīvḍo na chhūṭe ho jī

English meaning: O brother! Before the form of re ligion recognize the gur brahma, because without that guide the soul will not get salvation.

Verse 2

Jīrebhāi sarve jīvḍāsāhebjīe sirajiyā, To māyā dekhīne jīvḍo bhūloho jī

English meaning: O brother! The Lord created a ll souls but the human being lost in the illusion of this world.

Verse 3

Jīrebhāij eṇes i r a j i yātenūnām na jāṇīyo, To lobh savrāthe jīvḍo lāge ho jī

English meaning: O brother! He didn’t even recog nize the name of the Creator; he became engrossed in avarice and selfishness.

Verse 4

Jīrebhāi lālach lobh savrāth chhe mīthī, Te jīvḍe āpkīchintāna kīdhīho jī

English meaning: O brother! Avarice, greed and se lfishness are gratifying; he did not worry about himself.

Verse 5

Jīrebhāi kahone jīvḍātame kyāṅthakī āviyā, To ākahone jīvḍā kīe ghar jāso ho jī

English meaning: O brother! Say: from where ha ve you come and to which abode will you return?

Verse 6

Jīrebhāi e re vātno jīvḍo bhed na jāṇiyo, To ā hūṅ hūṅ karīne jīvḍo bhūloho jī

English meaning: O brother! The man did not unders tand the secret of this and lost in egotism.

Verse 7

Jīrebhāi pāṅtrīs pachvīs sol ne āṭh, Evāvār chorāsīpherā jīvḍo pharīyo ho jī

English meaning: O brother! Thirty-five (35), t wenty-five (25), sixteen (16), and eight (8); in this manner the man underwent cycle of life and death eighty-four (84) times.

Verse 8

Jīrebhāi kadmīkol sāhebjīnātame dīdhā, Temā ek hīkol na pāḷiyo ho jī

English meaning: O brother! In the past you have made many promises to the Lord but you did not fulfill any of them.

Verse 9

Jīrebhāi kadmīkol sāhebjīnātame jāṇo, To āgirbhāvāsnīvāchāe sambhāro ho jī

English meaning: O brother! If you acknowledge the promises made to the Lord in the past, then recall the promise made in the mother’s womb too.

Verse 10

Jīrebhāi jīvḍe kāraṇgurnar jugājug āviyā, Teṇe sat dhram dekhāḍiyāho jī

English meaning: O brother! The spiritual guide came in every era for the sake of the soul, and showed the true religion.

Verse 11

Jīrebhāi pūraṇbhāg bhāi jenāchhe sārā, Tinkūsatgur bhīrmājībhale miliyāho jī

English meaning: O brother! Those whose past fortunes were good they have obtained the true guide brahma.

Verse 12

Jīrebhāi jikar karo mārārikhisar vīrā, To āeṇījikare jīvḍo chhūṭe ho jī

English meaning: O my believer brother! Remember the name (do zikr), for it is with this remembrance that the soul will obtain salvation.

Verse 13

Jīrebhāi dasond sukrit tame samar lejo sāth, To ādūjāsāthe nahīṅ koī āve ho jī

English meaning: O brother! Take along with you the provisions of Dasond and Sukrit (virtuous deeds). Except for these no one else will come along with you.

Verse 14

Jīrebhāi āthei por jene jīvḍānīchhe chintā, jene āpkīchhe chintā, Tene kaljug kem karīlūpe ho jī

English meaning: O brother! Whosoever is concerned about the soul, about the self all the eight pohors (24 hours), how can Kaliyuga deceive him?

Verse 15

-īUHbhāij iQūke ghaṭPāṅhe gurnar bhDUSūUbeṭKā, 7āku rāho haNīkat sarve sūje ho Mī

English meaning: O brother! In whose hearts the true guide sits in perfection, they can see the path and the truth.

Verse 16

-īUHbhāi eso ginān SīUbhaṇāe Hasan Shāhā, Mārāmoman bhāi tame jo jo ginān vichāUīho Mī

English meaning: O brother! Pir Hasan Kabirdin (ra) says such a ginan. O my believer brother! Reflect on the ginan.
