Verse 1

Āshā ḍhoe beḍā hoe nīveḍā, Moman sir rāe jī

English meaning: O brother! The boat is ready, salvation will be obtained. A believer is protected by the Lord.

Verse 2

Ekvīs karoḍ bāhār khaḍiyā, Bār sir bharaṇ bharāe jī

English meaning: Two hundred and ten millions (twenty one crores) are standing outside. The hopes of one hundred and twenty millions (twelve crores) have been fulfilled.

Verse 3

Āpṇe pīr trūṭho pāiye, Vaīkūṅth sāheb rāe jī

English meaning: If our Pir is pleased then you will obtain the Lord of paradise.

Verse 4

Duldul ghoḍe āpṇo sāheb chaḍshe, Āpe Mahmad rāe jī

English meaning: Our Lord will ride astride the horse Duldul. Muhammad (sallallāhu µalayhi wa ālihi wa sallam) is himself the King.

Verse 5

Sir pātra beṭho paraṇe bālī, Mahmad chaiṅe āyo jī

English meaning: The manifestation of the L ight of Allah will marry the virgin earth. Muhammad ( sallallāhu µalayhi wa ālihi wa sallam) has come in all four yugas.

Verse 6

Nūr Mahedīchhatra ḍharese, Gāfal galgā khāe jī

English meaning: The nūr (light) of Mahdi (Imam of the time) will set up a canopy (whereas) the negligent will drown.

Verse 7

Ginān māhāras Pīr bhaṇe Hasan Kabirdin, Sāheb tūṅ dhāvan lāe jī

English meaning: Pir Hasan Kabirdin (RA) has recited this ginan full of wisdom. O Lord! You have brought us to the right path. Note: In the books of ginans a similar text is found which begins with “ HMī” instead of “ āVKā”, and each stanza begins with “ HMī” as well. Since both the texts are similar, only one ginan has been included in this volume. The recording of the other ginan is available in volume No. 39 of the Ginans in Traditional Tunes.
