Verse 1

Dīnkībāt kahīna jāve, Lākh karo to hāth na āve

English meaning: The reality of religion cannot be described; despite all efforts (it) cannot be obtained.

Verse 2

Neh agansūṅdehābirānī, Prem kathākine na jāṇī

English meaning: With the fire of love my being does not seem my own; no one could understand the tale of love.

Verse 3

Khol kahūṅto koi na pāve, Tāre gintārahen bihāve

English meaning: Even if I narrate in detail no one can understand; he will pass a sleepless night (trying to understand).

Verse 4

Bhulḍe mansūṅhāṅsījo āve, Nenūmund nisdin sove

English meaning: The stray heart makes me laugh; with eyes shut sleeps day and night.

Verse 5

Nehe kanaksūṅke Vākīje, Dhan mad mātājoban sīje

English meaning: Of what (use) is it to love gold? Youth passes away in intoxication of the pride of wealth.

Verse 6

Neno nīr mukh bhare osāsā, Rog baḍāve sīje jo māsā

English meaning: Tears flow from the eyes and utters sighs from the mouth. The disease gets severe and the body is rotting away.

Verse 7

Ek chit ek man karo a ndeshā, Ḍhūnḍho mārag satgur deshā

English meaning: With concentration and single-mindedness think of him. Seek the path (leading) in the direction of the true guide.

Verse 8

Āyāmārag satgur kerā, Janam gamāve kyūṅkhāve pherā

English meaning: When you have found the path of the true spiritual guide then why do you waste your life and fall into cycles.

Verse 9

Bālpaneme kachhūna būje, Jobanmāṅhe rāh na sūje

English meaning: In childhood one does not understand anything and in youth one cannot perceive the path.

Verse 10

Bich buḍhāpābhayānirāshā, Hārībājīulṭāpāsā

English meaning: He becomes despondent in old age. He lost the game and was unlucky in throwing the dice.

Verse 11

Arath arathkākarībichārā, Je koi ḍhūnḍho sāth hamārā

English meaning: Whoever seeks our company he contemplates on the true objective.

Verse 12

Sayyad Hāsham Shāh boliyā ginān, Bhāīmunivarādhar lev kān

English meaning: Sayyi d Hāshim Shah (r.a.) says the Ginan: O believer brother! Listen attentively.
