dīvas uge tyāre dhandhā māṅhe besīye Bāi Buḍhāi Jīre bhāi dīvas uge tyāre dhandhā māṅhe besīye, Rāt paḍe to nindrā āve jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! As the day begins we get occupied with chores (and) feel sleepy as soon as night falls.
Jīre bhāi ashṭ pahor din ame em ja rahīye, To vaikūṅṭh kiyāṅ thī laie jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! We spend the eight pahors of the day in this manner, then how can we attain paradise?
Jīre bhāi sansār jūṭho te māṅhe koik chete, Chetiyā tene daitno ḍar nahīṅ lāge jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! This world is fal se in which hardly anyone is vigilant. Those who are vigilant do not fear the enemies of religion.
