(Selected verses) jī e dharamne kāraṇeH ane saWīe sahīyā Tukh; Potāno sat chhoḍiyo nahīṅ, ane meliyā sarve sukh
English meaning: O brother! For the sake of this faith the devotee (raupadi) bore much pain and sorrow. She shunned all comforts but did not give up her truth.
jī saWīthī koī moṭī nahīṅ Hjenā ame karīe vakhāṇ; Aj ghaṭnī pūjā je kare, te pūrī satī jāṇ
jī jakh Tev beṭhā jue chheH ane simras Surbhāṇ bhagaW hoe; ઑj evo samo varatiyo, tene na jāṇe koe
English meaning: O brother! The celestial beings are sitting and watching, and simras and Surbhāṇ are devotees. Today, such time has come that no one knows them.
jī megh Weni vāṭ jue, jeno kalmāṅhe chhe vās; Te kumbhī jal pāval chheH amne ālo ek rāW
English meaning: O brother! Megh (celestial beings) are awaiting them who have come in Kaliyuga. The water of ghaܩpāܩ is āb-e-shafā, grant it to us one night.
jī kinar karoḍ batrīsH ane kahīe dharam vevār; Te paṇ Wene kāraṇeH āve vāroi vār
English meaning: O brother! Three hundred and twenty million (Thirty-two crore) Kinar (celestial beings) who act upon religion, they too repeatedly come for this āb-e-shafā.
jī teno vedmāṅhe em lakhiyo, ane beṭha chīṇab nagrī jāṇ; Tyāṅ sarve chākar chhe, vasī rahe chhe nirvāṇ
English meaning: O brother! /t is so written in the sedas that they are sitting in the city of hinab. All those who reside there are servants.
jī Surjā rāṇi samaraṇ kare, ane gurnarnā seve pāe; Te ā ghaṭ thāpnā kare, sarve pāval pivā jāe
English meaning: O brother! Kueen Surja remembers the name and serves the true guide. She sets up the ritual of Whis ghaܩpāܩ, where all go to partake of āb-e-shafā.
jī tetrīs karoḍ TevWāH We vase chhe soṅsārmāṅhe; Tema simras Surbhāṇ chheH We kene lakhīya nav jāe
English meaning: O brother! Three hundred and thirty million (thirty-three crore) celestial beings reside in the world inclusive of simras and Surbhāṇ but none can recognize them.
jī mānkhā Tehīmā sahū vaseH ane vase Tev Tāṇav sār; Sat dharamsūṅ jo chāliye, to utariye pele pār
English meaning: O brother! Angels and Satan all reside in human body. /f you follow the true religion then you will reach the other shore.
jī sāchā jīv We kahīeH jemāṅhe nathī koī mel; Gur ginān vichāri je chālseH We Tekhse sarve khel
English meaning: O brother! A true human being is one in whom there is no impurity. Whosoever will contemplate on and follow the teachings of the true guide, will see all miracles.
jī soṅsārmāṅhe bājī rachīH Wemā nathī koī visrām; ole chāle mukhsūṅ, jai kare te kūḍā kām
English meaning: O brother! Whosoever is fraudulent has no peace in the world. They are verbally expressive but perform evil deeds.
jī jeṇe veT amārā joyāH ane chāliyā sāche pāe; Pīr Shams kahe We melā pāmsheH simras Surbhāṇ pāse jāe
English meaning: O brother! Those who saw our teachings and followed the oath of truth, Pir Shams (ra) says that they will obtain the concourse; they will join simras and Surbhāṇ .
