Verse 1
ek sapnūantar meṅ sūṇīyore bande meṅ sūṇīyo PīrShams (ra) Ejī ek sapnūantar meṅs ū ṇ īyore bande meṅ sūṇīyo, Is dunyāmeṅreṇāe na pāvṇā
English meaning: O brother! I heard something i n a dream that (we) will not be able to live in this world forever.
Verse 2
Ejīsodāsudh kamāvaṇāmede bhāive e kamāvaṇā, Hia jug biaḍāe na āvaṇā
English meaning: O brother! Let your earnings be clean and pure, O brother! Generate (clean and pure) earnings. You will not return to this world.
Verse 3
Ejīdān hath karīo āpaṇḍe re bande āpaṇḍe, To āgundhāt ūsāaor chāvaṇā
English meaning: O brother! Practice generos ity with your own hands, O man with your own hands. Then you will acquire more in the future.
Verse 4
Ejīpāṅch vas karīo āpaṇḍe re bande āpaṇḍe, To sahīamrāpūrīaor pāvaṇā
English meaning: O brother! Obtain control ov er your five evils, O man over your evils. Then you will certainly acquire a status in the immortal place.
Verse 5
Ejīpāṅch māse jīv sancharīo re bande sancharīo, Chhaṭhedhājot e parkāsiyā
English meaning: O brother! In the fifth month the soul entered (the body) and in the sixth month nūr (light) became luminous.
Verse 6
Ejīsātme agan tan jāgiyo re bande jāgiyo, Āṭhme khudāvand akhidhā sahīhuā,
English meaning: O brother! In the seventh month fire (or heat) was generated in the body and in the eighth month God rectified the eyes (or God stated that this being is ready).
Verse 7
Ejīnavme satgur jāmin de chaliyo re bande chaliyo, Dasvandhīkol e karāriyā
English meaning: O brother! In the ninth month the true guide furnished surety , O man granted surety. (or in the ninth month upon the surety of the true guide the man walked free) and promised to offer Dasond.
Verse 8
Ejībār varas bālt aṇāe bālak taṇā, Vīsedhājuvān e kīlāvaṇā
English meaning: O brother! Twelve years are of childhood, of childhood. The age of twenty years is called adult.
Verse 9
Ejī chālīs varas jap tap nā kīyābande nāk ī y ā, E murakh dhandhe e harāeyā
English meaning: O brother! Till forty years the man did not practice bandagi, the man did not practice. This foolish person wasted his life in the affairs of the world.
Verse 10
Ejī savād bhaiyo ne sāmī visar gayo Mawlā visar gayo, E murakh lobhe e lobhāiyā
English meaning: O brother! He was delighted with the savor of the world, and he became oblivious of the Lord, became oblivious of The Lord. That foolish one got trapped in greed.
Verse 11
Ejī satgure rangi ek chūnḍī ek chūnḍī, Bahot range e rangāiyā
English meaning: O brother! The true guide dyed a scarf, dyed a scarf; dyed it with many colors.
Verse 12
Ejīpurakh pāchhamthī Mawlā āvshere dhaṇī āvshe, Kharīye khudāvand sahī āvshe
English meaning: O brother! The Lord will come from the west; the Lord will surely come.
Verse 13
Ejī chīṇab chīṇab gaḍh vāṅkalḍore gaḍh vāṅkalḍo, Māṅhe dāṇav jodhā e kīlāvaṇā
English meaning: O brother! In the city of Chenab, in the city of Chenab lies the fort of the enemies, the fort of the enemies; in it reside the militant enemies of religion.
Verse 14
Ejī kālingedhāsar kāṭle sar kāṭle, Samūdarbich e rulāesī
English meaning: O brother! (The Lord) will behead the enemies of religion (Dait Kalinga), (will) behead (the enemies) and will throw them in mid ocean.
Verse 15
Ejī tan dī karīyo āhīṅnāvḍī bande nāvḍī, Māṅhe shāhodhākareo āhīṅvaṇaj
English meaning: O brother! Make your body a boat, a boat; conduct the Lord’s trade in it.
Verse 16
Ejī sang tetrīsāṇtab chaḍo bande tab chaḍo, Ehḍājodhā panj vas karīyo
English meaning: O brother! You will join the three hundred and thirty million (thirty-three crores) saved believers when you will overpower these five militant evils.
Verse 17
Ejī gofte Pīr Shams Ghazi boliyā Pīr boliyā, Pīr Shams kanthī e sūṇāiyā
English meaning: O brother! Pir Shams Gazi (ra) says, the Pir says; Pir Shams (ra) has said this (ginan).
