Verse 1

Eji ek shabad suno mere bhāi, Maeṅāvi sughaḍ panthmā

English meaning: O My brother! Listen to the fact: I have come to a pure and clean path. Eji kiski beṭi kiski dhiā,

Verse 2

Eji kiski beṭi kiski dhiā, Tū koṇ purush ghar nāriyā

English meaning: O Brother! Whose daughter are you? Whose wife are you? Eji satki beṭi santokhki dhiā,

Verse 3

Eji satki beṭi santokhki dhiā, Maeṅ thul purush ghar nāriyā

English meaning: O Brother! I am the daughter of truth and contentment, and I am the wife of this manlike earthly body.

Verse 4

Eji thul purush maeṅ sutāmeliyā, Maeṅ bāḷak meliyā jhultā

English meaning: O Brother! I have left the earthly body-like husband Maeṅ bāḷak meliyā jhultā. 4 sleeping; I have left the child swaying (in the cradle).

Verse 5

Eji dūdh kaḍhantāmaeṅchule meliyā, Maeṅāvi shāh duvāriyā

English meaning: O Brother! I have left the milk boiling on the stove Maeṅ āvi shāh duvāriyā. 5 (and) and have come to the court of the Lord.

Verse 6

Eji shāhke kāraṇmeaṅ sab kuchh chhoḍiyā, Maeṅna jāṇā avar duvāriyā

English meaning: O Brother! I gave up everything for the Lord. I do not Maeṅ na jāṇā avar duvāriyā. 6 want to go to another door (or I do not know the door of anyone else).

Verse 7

Eji avar chintāmuje kiski nāhi, Chintāhae mere jivki

English meaning: O Brother! I am not worried about anyone else, I am Chintā hae mere jivki. 7 only worried about my soul.

Verse 8

Eji jivke kāraṇmaeṅ sab kuchh chhoḍiyā, Maeṅāvi sharaṇtamāriyā

English meaning: O Brother! I relinquished everything for the soul, (O Maeṅ āvi sharaṇ tamāriyā. 8 Lord)! I have sought your protection.
