evī vātū tame amne sambhḷāvo Bāi Buḍhāi Jīre bhāi evī vātū tame amne sambhḷāvo, To e vātūṅ āgal kem na kahīyūṅ jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Today you are telling me such things; why did you not tell this to me earlier?

Verse 2
Jīre bhāi te velā mā ame kiyāṅ ja hotā, Te ved kantho morā bhāi jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Where was I at that time? O brother! Tell me the truth about that.
Verse 3
Jīre bhāi te velā tamo āje ja jāṇo, Te satiyūṅ ne partāpe amne āpo jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Consider that time as being now; tell me that for the sake of the pious women.
Verse 4
Jīre bhāi je kaho te ame āje ja māniye, Jo farmāvo so sir chaḍāvūṅ jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Whatever you will say I will accept today; I will bow my head in submission to what you say.
Verse 5
Jīre bhāi kām krodh ahankār ja meliyā, Kaho to koi sūṅ vāt na kīje jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! I have forsaken carnal desires, anger, and pride, simply everything. If you say (I) will not even speak to anybody.
Verse 6
Jīre bhāi āsaṇ dio have ās tamāri, Gur Kabīrdīn kī hiyāri jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Show me the met hod of worship; all my hopes are pinned on you. I am Pir Hasan Kabirdin’s pampered one.
Verse 7
Jīre bhāi jugājug kā ab bhār ja ṭāḷo, To meḍā bibiyūṅ kā hove jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Remove the burdens of the yugas today so that I may join the concourse of the saintly women.
Verse 8
Jīre bhāi jot vinā kuchhu na hove, Khālī bhānḍe kām na sīje jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! There is nothing without light; nothing can be attained with an empty stomach.
Verse 9
Jīre bhāi Bāi Buḍhāi kī vintī ja aesī, Chit rākho morā bhāi jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Bai Budhai entreats thus O my brother! Ponder on this (entreaty).
