Verse 1

Jīre bāi gunegār te je gurnā chor ja kahīye, Je ved vichārī nav chāle jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! The sinners are those who are the thieves of the spiritual master; those who do not reflect on, and act according to, the Vedas.

Verse 2

Jīre bāi ved vichārīne gurnar ne dhīyāve, Te kāekū gunegār hove jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! He who follows the Gurnar (Lord) by reflecting on, and acting according to, the Vedas how can he be a sinner?

Verse 3

Jīre bāi araj karoge to nīyamat pāoge, Ham tam haeṅ gurke chele jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! If you will entreat you will obtain grace. I and you are the disciples of the spiritual master.

Verse 4

Jīre bāi sāheb sahūnī ās ja pūre, Sohī sāheb hae sultān jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! The Lord fulfills the wishes of everybody; that Lord is the king.

Verse 5

Jīre bāi sirevā vinā bāi mevā na hoe, Mevā to sāhebjī ke nāme jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! Without obedience reward cannot be obtained. Reward is obtained by the name of the Lord.

Verse 6

Jīre bāi bhaṇe Imām Shāhā ehī ja ventī, Paḍdā kholengo mero Allah jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! Sayyid Imam Shah (R.A.) entreats: My Allah will reveal the secret.
