Verse 1

Jīre bāi gur to gurkā ginān ja kahīye, Bākī to sarve sansār jāṇo jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! The teacher is the teacher’s knowledge. The rest are the worldly matters.

Verse 2

Jīre bāi gur pīr ki āsā ginān ja jāṇo, Jis me santokh kā bhed pichhāṇo jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! The knowledge is the hope of the spiritual master in which lies the secret of peace.

Verse 3

Jīre bāi sukhar hae so shāhā kā Rahemān, Jikar hae so kāyā kā ehsān jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! Thanksgiving is to the Lord who is Merciful. Remembrance is the expre ssion of gratitude by the body.

Verse 4

Jīre bāi āgaḷ mārag doelā ja jāṇo, Pāchhā toṇe hākam pichhāṇo jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! The path ahead is arduous. Recognize your Lord King.

Verse 5

Jīre bāi bhaṇe Sayyad Imām Shāhā ame dās tamārā, Tamne pāe paḍīye to ame sārā jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! Sayyid Imam Shah (R.A.) says that I am your slave; I am good (honored) if I touch your feet.
