Ejī hete milīne sate chāljo, Ane jūṭh karjo sarve dūr; Satpanth srevīyā to phale, Jo nirmal thai pīyo nūr
English meaning: O brother! Meet lovingly, be true and shun all falsehood. The benefit of following Satpanth (true path) will be obtained when (you will) become pure and drink 1ūU.
Ejī nūr pīyo ne nām lio, To man larjīne ujḷāre thāo; Lobh savarāthne vāriye, To gaḍh amrāpūrī jāo
English meaning: O brother! Drink 1ūU(light), take the Name, and with fear of God in the heart become pure and clean. Shun greed and selfishness then you will reach the fort of the eternal abode.
Ejī kām krodhe shaher lūṅṭiyā, Ane lūṅṭiyā girath bhanḍār, Hīrā ratan zaver lūṅṭiyā, Ane lūṅṭi vastū apār
English meaning: O brother! Carnal desires and anger have plundered the city and robbed treasures of riches and wealth. They looted diamonds, pearls and gems, and looted innumerable things.
Ejī toe murakh radaemāṅhe nav jāgiyo, Teṇe khoyo sarve māl; Āgal roz qayāmat dāḍo āvshe, Tāre kem karī desho javāb
English meaning: O brother! Even then the foolish one did not wake up in his heart. He has lost all wealth. Later on the Day of Judgment will come, at that time how will you answer?
Ejī tene chor karīne sāheb bāndhshe, Ane deshe te ghaṇ kerī mār; Tenā haiḍāmāṅhethī agan uṭhāḍshe, Tāre jīvḍo te karshe pukār
English meaning: O brother! The Lord will declare him a thief, will tie him and beat him up with a hammer. (He) will create fire from within his heart. At that time the man will scream.
Ejī satpanth laine utaḍīyā, Tene lāgo te nīlnū pās; Vasāṇā hatā te luṅṭāī gayā, Pachhe khālī te rahyo re hāṭ
English meaning: O brother! Those who went astray after adopting Satpanth (true path), were marked with the black stigma of defamation. Whatever h ad been accumulated was plundered and the shop was left empty.
Ejī satī hokar asatī kahāve, Teṇe khoyo purav janmanū mūl; Te to imān voṇā ukhḍī gayā, Tene moḍhe paḍshe dhūl
English meaning: O brother! He who was virtuous and (yet) followed the path of falsehood, lost the capital of his past earnings. He was uprooted for lack of belief and dust fell into his mouth.
Ejī karame kāḷā te sadāe kāḷā, Momanbhāī tame ginān vichārīne juo; Dūdhe dhoīye koelā, Te kabahī na ujḷā hoe
English meaning: O brother! Those with evil deeds are forever evil. O believer! Reflect upon Ginan and see. If coal is washed with milk then too it will never become white.
Ejī satpanth lai algā rahyā, Te to pākī hānḍīne tol; Tene ṭāṅkaṇm ā r ī ṭukḍā huvā, Tenu kāīṅ na upjere mūl
English meaning: O brother! He who stayed aloof after adopting Satpanth (true path) is like a solid pot (of clay). If it is struck it breaks into pieces, then it has no value.
Ejī bhaṇe Sayyad Imām Shāh suṇo munivaro, Tame rākho te āpṇū āp; Satgur vachane je nahīṅ chālshe, Tene khāshe vīchhūṅ ne sāp
English meaning: O brother! O believers! Sayyid Imam Shah (r.a.) says: take care of yourself. Those who do not follow the teaching of the true guide, scorpions and snakes will bite them.
