Jīre bhāi dayā rākhī vaḷī imān ja rākho, Ame sharaṇ tamāre beṭhā jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Show mercy and have faith also; I am in your protection.
Verse 3
Jīre bhāi ghaṭ māṅhe chhe ghaṭ ane tamāri vāchā, To amārī nīndrāne ṭāḷo jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! In the body are the heart and your words. Remove my sleep of ignorance.
Verse 4
Jīre bhāi nīndrā ṭāḷī vaḍī sudh budh dejo, To duniyā nū hīras na lāge jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Having removed my sleep of ignorance give me understanding so that the greed of the world does not touch me.

Jīre bhāi duniyā ne hirase bahū jīv ja bhūliyā, Tenī sudh na potī kāṅi jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Many people went astray due to the greed of the world. No one understood this.

Jīre bhāi te ghaṭ dejo jemā paḍdā ja khule, Bāi Buḍhāi kahe terī dāsī jīre bhāi
English meaning: O brother! Give me a heart in which secrets are unveiled. Your maidservant Bai Budhai entreats thus.
