Verse 1
Eji imāni ājugmāṅhe jāṇie, jeṇe bheṭiyāsatgur nūr; Satgur bhe ṭiyā munivaro, to hardam shāh hajūr
English meaning: O brother! In this world a believer is he who has recognized the Nūr of the true guide. O believers! If you have recognized the true guide then the Lord is always with you.
Verse 2
Eji satgur sāthi kijie, to partak shāhā dikhlāe; Satgur bhe ṭie munivaro, to hājar shāhā nūr pāe
English meaning: O brother! Make the true guide your companion, he will reveal the Lord to you. O believers! If you recognize the true guide then you will be graced with the presence of the Nūr of the Lord.
Verse 3
Eji nūr nirākār jāṇjo, te āj partak shāh kahevāe; Teṇeāp ichchhāe upāviyā, bhāi chaud bhavan soe
English meaning: O brother! The N ūr, which is beyond form and figure, is manifest today as the Imam. O brother! Out of His own will He created the fourteen worlds.
Verse 4
Eji chaud bhavan chinte kari, ane sarve rachiyo ṭhāṭh; P āṅch tatvano putlo, sāmi rāje ghaḍiyo ghāṭ
English meaning: O brother! Having thought of these fourteen worlds He made this beautiful creation. The Lord King made a form of this body of five elements.
Verse 5
Eji sāmi rājo sahūno dātār chhe, ane rojino puraṇhār; Jinki jaesi kismat kahie, tinku taesādeve dātār
English meaning: O brother! The Lord King is the generous Sustainer and the Giver of livelihood to all. As is the share of the person so the Lord gives him accordingly.
Verse 6
Eji āp pichhāṇo ne āpṇo, ane veḷāvichārine joe; Āpṇū āp pichhāṇtā, shudh sarūp pāie soe
English meaning: O brother! Recognize your own self and think of the era and see. By recognizing your own self you will find your own real form.
Verse 7
Eji shudh budh gur thaki pāmie, ane gure batāvi vāṭ; Gurnar donu bhe ṭie, jo kāsal nākho kāḍh
English meaning: O brother! You will obtain true understanding from the spiritual guide, and the guide has shown the path. If you remove impurity then you will meet both the
Verse 8
Eji kāsal kāḍho āpṇi, to shāh mukh dekhone soe; Jem ambar ākāshmā, bhāi suraj sanmukh hoe
English meaning: O brother! If you remove your impurities then you will obtain the Didar of the Lord as the sun is in the forefront in the sky.
Verse 9
Eji man vash rākhone āpṇū, ane man jīte sarve jīt; Jeṇe munivare man vash rākhiyā, Gur kahe sāchi teni prīt
English meaning: O brother! Keep your heart under control, and by conquering the heart you will conquer everything. The Pir says that the believer who kept his heart under control, his love is true.
Verse 10
Eji man to mahā balvant chhe, ane jodh jorāvar jāṇ; Man jite sarve jitsho, bh āi manni hāre hāṇ
English meaning: O brother! The heart is very powerful; consider it a strong warrior. By conquering the heart you will conquer everything; O brother! To be defeated by the heart will be harmful.
Verse 11
Eji mane bhulāviyā ch aud lokne, chaud lok jite re man; Jeṇe munivare man chit vash rākhiyā, Bhāi tāṅku dhano dhan
English meaning: O brother! The heart deceived the fourteen worlds and the heart alone is the conqueror of the fourteen worlds. The believer who controlled the heart and thoughts, may he be much felicitated.
