Verse 1

Jāgat kyūṅ nāhīṅre bhalā, Tū jāgat kyūṅ nāhīṅre; Bhor bhae pastāi rahyo, Tū jāgat kyūṅ nāhīṅre. Kālko bhavro phāṅso ḍāle, Bhavar guphā kī jālīre; Usme tū sapḍāī gayo, Nikal jāegī vārīre; Bhalā tū

English meaning: O friend! Why do you not wake up? In the morning you will repent. O brother! The angel of death has thrown his noose around your neck in which you are caught. Like this your time will while away. Why do you not rise? (Or) the angel of death has laid his trap, while you are caught amidst the disputes and quarrels of the world. In this way the opportunity will slip out of your hands. Why do you not rise?

Verse 2

Āl Nabīkī avlād Alīkī, Panjtan Pāk vakhāṇore, Hasan Husen do nūr pichhāṇo, Unse ummat sārīre; Bhalā tū

English meaning: Praise the progeny of th e Prophet (s.a.s.) and the offspring of Hazrat Ali (a.s.) i.e. Panjtan Pak. Recognize the Nūr of both Hazrat Hasan (a.s.) and Hazrat Imam Hussain (a.s.) because the whole Ummat (Muslim community) is due to them. Why do you not rise?

Verse 3

Raheṇīko sapno bisāro pyāre, Kāekū nīndme khovore; Gur charanke bal bal jāie, Em kahe chhe Imām Shāh bālore; Bhalā tū

English meaning: Forget the dream of the night, why are you lost in sleep? Sacrifice yourself at the feet of the spiritual guide. This is what Sayyid Imam Shah (r.a.) says. Why do you not rise?
