Verse 1

(Selected Verses) Ejī jāgo ho ma sūmīo meḍe bhāīve, Tūsā gāfal ho hūsiyār

English meaning: O my brother! Wakeup, don’t stay asleep. O negligent one! Be alert.

Verse 2

Ejī hūsiyārī so dīvāriyā meḍe bhāīve, ĀpṇeK āyam sāse vīnj chalo

English meaning: O my brother! Those who are alert are servants (or are the best of the intelligent). Be smitten with the breath of the Qāim Lord.

Verse 3

Ejīraheṇandherīmeḍe bhāīve, Ek satībeṭhī āpṇo pūrakh sireve

English meaning: O my brother! In the dark night a pious woman sits and remembers her Lord.

Verse 4

Ejīsone sone kiṭ na lāge meḍe bhāīve, Jo soho varas mīṭīmāṅhe khojīdharo

English meaning: O my brother! Gold does not rust even if it is kept buried in the dust for a hundred years. 5 . O m y b r o t h e r ! F i g h t w i t h t h e s w o r d o f k n o w l e d g e (and) finish the five carnal desires.

Verse 5

Ejīginān kaṭārī sūṅ jūdh karo meḍe bhāīve, Panchākūṅ vīrā bhāī ghāe karo

Verse 7

Ejīgofte Pir Hasan Kabirdin meḍe bhāīve, Njṭhḍā trūṭhḍā sāmī rājā tūṅfajal karo

English meaning: O my brother! Pir Hasan Kabirdin (RA) entreats: O Lord King! Have mercy on the weak and feeble.
