Verse 1

(Selected verses) E vīrābhāi jāgo rikhisar morābhāi, Tame gāfal ho kīyūṅsūtājī

English meaning: O dear brother! O believers! Wake up! Why are you sleeping in oblivion?

Verse 2

E vīrābhāi satgur kere je vāeke na chāle, Bhāi te jīvkharāre vigūtājī

English meaning: O dear brother! Those who did not act according to the words of the true guide surely went astray.

Verse 3

E vīrābhāi jugājug tame sūte re hote, Bhāi hajīe nīndrā na potījī

English meaning: O dear brother! For eras yo u have been asleep; has not your sleep been fulfilled as yet?

Verse 4

E vīrābhāi sovege sohīrovege, Gurnar kahet pukārījī

English meaning: O dear brother! Those who will sleep shall weep; the true guide keeps on crying this out.

Verse 5

E vīrābhāi mahadanmāṅe sāheb sarve pūchhego, Tame chet raho husiyārjī

English meaning: O dear brother! On the Day of Judgment, the Lord shall ask (about) everything; be careful and vigilant.

Verse 6

E vīrābhāi sohoso kāraṇīe tiyāṅsūraj tapese, Bhāi ek din aesāāvejī

English meaning: O dear brother! The sun will heat with full splendor over there; O brother! Such a day will surely come.

Verse 7

E vīrābhāi ek pohor tame jikar na kartā, To tame kem karīsahesojī

English meaning: O dear brother! You did not w orship for even one pohor (3 hours); then how will you be able to bear all this?

Verse 8

E vīrābhāi ek pohor tame samjīne sūo, To tame raheso shāhāne hajūrjī

English meaning: O dear brother! If you will sl eep with discernment even for one pohor (3 hours); you will be in the presence of the Lord.

Verse 9

E vīrābhāi dharam lai gurnar gatsūṅna miliyā, Bhāi hāl na gujāriyājī

English meaning: O dear brother! Those who have taken the religion but did not meet the pir and the Jamat; and did not come in the Jamat (congregation);

Verse 10

E vīrābhāi mahādanmāṅe sāheb sarve pūchhengo, Bhāi mārp aḍegībhārījī

English meaning: O dear brother! On the Day of Judgment, the Lord shall ask (them about) everything; they will be badly beaten.

Verse 11

E vīrābhāi ghaṇkerāgāhāpaḍem a hādanmāṅhe, Bhāi jīn sir gunāhovejī

English meaning: O dear brother! Those who w ill bear the burden of sins on their head will be hammered on the Day of Judgment.

Verse 12

E vīrābhāij u gājug gurnar kahetāre āvīyā, Tame jikar karo morābhāijī

English meaning: O dear brother! In every era t he true guide has been saying: O my brother! remember (the Lord.)

Verse 13

E vīrābhāi jikar karo gurkīdāman pakḍo, Pīrkahe tame chetojī

English meaning: O dear brother! Remember a nd hold onto the skirt of the Lord. The Pir says: become vigilant.

Verse 14

E vīrābhāi aval jug sab gae re mugtā, Bhāi tab tame chet na liyājī

English meaning: O dear brother! All have bee n saved in the previous eras, O brother! Even then you did not become vigilant.

Verse 15

E vīrā bhāi chār jugnī sandh ja potī, Āj kal mahādan velā āvījī

English meaning: O dear brother! The four eras have reached the end, now the time for the Day of Judgment has come.

Verse 16

E vīrā bhāi ghaḍī ghaḍī gur kahete re āe, Tame mūrakh kāeṅ na chetojī

English meaning: O dear brother! Repeatedly t he Pir has said: O ignorant ones! Why do you not become vigilant?

Verse 17

E vīrā bhāi dharam laine khare vigūte, Bhāi gāfal ho kyūṅ sūtājī

English meaning: O dear brother! In spite of adopting the religion many good ones have gone astray, O brother! Why are you asleep in ignorance?

Verse 18

E vīrā bhāi suno re rikhisar tamārī khātar, Gurnar ek palak na sovejī

English meaning: Listen O dear believer brothe r! For your sake the true guide does not sleep even for a moment.

Verse 19

E vīrā bhāi jin sache yāre jikar ja mānḍiyā, Gurnar ghaṭghaṭjovāne āvejī

English meaning: O dear brother! The true gui de comes to see in the hearts of all those true friends who remembered.

Verse 20

E vīrā bhāi kalmāṅhe tapsī bhīrmā kahīe, Bhāi mūrakh na jāṇe andhājī

English meaning: O dear brother! In Kaliyuga the worshipper is brahma but the ignorant and blind do not know this fact.

Verse 21

E vīrā bhāi Nabī Mahammad nām bhaṇāyā, Bhāi aj kal chhelī sandhjī

English meaning: O dear brother! In this final present era, he has adopted the name of Prophet Mohammad (saas).

Verse 23

E vīrā bhāi eso ginān Pīr bhaṇāe Sadardīn, Tame phal sachāyārā moman lesojī

English meaning: O dear brother! Pir Sadardi n (ra) says this Ginan. O true believer friend! You will obtain the fruit.
