Verse 1

Jīv tū sūṅ āvīyo sansārmā Sayyad Āl Imam (ra) (Selected verses) Jīv tū sūṅ āvīyo sansārmā, oḷakhiyān a h ī ṅre dayāḷ

English meaning: O brother! What is the use of your coming in this world if you did not recognize the merciful Lord.

Verse 2

Naeṇen i hāḍiyān a h ī ṅSri Ali, bhūlobando re gemār

English meaning: He did not see Shah Ali (as) with his eyes; the ignorant man forgot.

Verse 3

Partak beṭhāne oḷakhiyān a h ī ṅ, pargaṭnakalankīavtār

English meaning: Mawla Ali (as) is manifest , yet did not recognize him.

Verse 5

Jāher jampūdīpmāṅhe āviyā, nar Nūr Shaha Ali āp

English meaning: Imam Nur Shah Ali (as) has mani festly arrived in the Indian sub-continent.

Verse 6

Kalā dise sobhtī, nūr tajallāre āp

English meaning: All the virtues are splendidly adorned, the nūr (light) has manifested himself.

Gur nar jāher behūmiliyā, nirinjan Ali re āp

English meaning: Both the manifest Shah and Pir have arrived; he himself is the incomprehensible Ali (as).

Verse 8

Āl imām gur nar sreviye, hājar jomāno re sās

English meaning: Obey the spiritual guide who i s from the Imam’s progeny. He is the breath of the living manifestation.

Verse 9

Jikar fikar tame māngjo, hāl gat gujār

English meaning: Seek remembrance and contempla tion (and) keep joining the Jamat.

Kharīdasond tame āljo, dīdhākol re sambhār

English meaning: Offer complete dasond (and) fulfill your promise.

Verse 11

Mātāgirabhe tūre āviyo, seviyāseviyāre das mās

English meaning: You came in the mother’s womb; nourished you for ten months.

Verse 12

Kol daine bāher nisariyo, hūṅ tūkarvālāgo bahār

English meaning: You came out after making a promise; and after coming out started to quarrel.

Verse 13

Dhan sampat māyā bahū sancharī, jūṭhājag dhandhānāre kāj

English meaning: For the false trade of the world, you accumulated much wealth and treasure.

Kuṭam parivār mali sarve poṅkhiyā, dhan joban re mastīmāṅhe

English meaning: In the intoxication of wealth and youthfulness all the relatives ate and drank.

Verse 15

Chāre khāṇe jīv tū āviyo, pāmiyo mānkhādeh avtār

English meaning: You came in the four µKhāṇs’ (four stages of creation) and now you have come in human form.

Verse 16

Jikar fikar tame jāgjo, lo shāhāno darbār

English meaning: Remain awake in remembrance and contemplation then you will obtain Mawla’s court.

English meaning: Sayyad Āl Imam (r.a) says: these are the tales of the last era.
