Verse 1

(Garbi-25) Jāre āvi chheli rāt ke, Maliyāsarve sārthi re lol

English meaning: When the last night came all the people gathered.

Verse 2

Gure kidhāchhe khel apār ke, Maliyā sarve rusi re lol

English meaning: The Pir enacted countless plays and all the ascetics gathered.

Verse 3

Rāe raiyat maliyāapār ke, Gurjine pāe paḍiyā re lol

English meaning: Countless kings and people met and fell at the feet of the Pir.

Verse 4

Evi Gur Shamsjine pās ke, Sahu venti kare re lol

English meaning: All of them entreating to Pir Shams (r.a.) thus:

Verse 5

Guru amne āpo tamāro dharam ke, Sarve em kahe re lol

English meaning: All of them are saying: O Pir! Grant us your religion.

Verse 6

To chhuṭe sarve amārākaram ke, Sati satmāṅhe rahe re lol

English meaning: So that the burden of our sins is removed and the believers remain in truth.

Verse 7

Tāre bhrāmaṇ sarve muki purāṇ ke, Gurjine pāe paḍiyā re lol

English meaning: Then all the Brahmans shunned the 3XUāṇs and fell at the feet of the Pir.

Verse 8

Kahe guru vatāvo tamāro dharam, Em sarve kargare re lol

English meaning: All entreated and said: O Pir! Show us your religion.

Verse 9

Ame mukio sarve juṭho ṭhāṭh, Tam satgur thaki re lol

English meaning: O Satgur! Due to your teaching we have shunned all false splendor.

Verse 10

Have traṇvedthi nahīṅrahiyo kām ke, Karo tame sārthi re lol

English meaning: Now we are not concerned about the three Vedas, make us your companion.

Verse 11

Tame gurji sāchāmusalmān, Vatāvo dīn ne re lol

English meaning: O Pir! you are a true Muslim, show us your religion.

Verse 12

Ame hindu muki juṭhādev ke, Ārādhie dīn ne re lol

English meaning: We Hindus will shun false idols and follow the religion.

Verse 13

Ame karsaṇāchhāvāvie sār ke, To phal pāmie re lol

English meaning: If we sow (for) a good crop then (we) obtain its reward.

Verse 14

Tame āpo amne tamāro dharam, To rudāmāṅhe rākhie re lol

English meaning: Grant us your religion so we (may) keep it in our heart.

Verse 15

Ame kuḍāshāstra kāḍhiyāāhe ke, Vatāvo Kurān ne re lol

English meaning: We have removed (or shunned) the false religious books; show us the Qur’an.

Verse 16

Tame ālo amne āchho dharam ke, Dekhāḍi hisābne re lol

English meaning: Reveal the pure and holy religion to us lucidly.

Verse 17

Gure kirpākidhi āpṇi sār ke, Bhrāmaṇniyamiyāre lol

English meaning: The Pir helped us kindly and made the Brahmans promise to act (upon it).

Verse 18

Tāre avichal vāṇi Shams Pir, Gure mukhthi kanthi yāre lol

English meaning: At that time Pir Shams (r.a.) spoke the immortal words with his own mouth.
