Verse 1
Jog tatva ker ābhed vakhāṇū, To sāmbhḷo jugesar sohījī; Ādu ṇād jogīnar hotā Tene jāṇe virOākoi; Jugesar jognābhed dohelājī
English meaning: I am praising the mystery of the essence of yoga, O yogi listen to it. When there was nothing at that time there was a yogi, hardly anybody knows him; yogi! The mystery of yoga is very difficult.
Verse 2
Āps a m b hāḷīne sevājo kīje, To āsaṇdharaṇniveḍājī; Jog ta ṇājo ne niveḍāhotā, Teṇe kidhājognākeḍā; Jugesar jognābhed dohelājī
English meaning: Be vigilant about yourself and obey then you will be able to firmly maintain the posture or it will become easier to maintain the posture. For whom the path of yoga was simplified he performed the yoga well.
Verse 3
Jogī te je jugatne jāṇe, Anant prakāre jogne sambhāḷejī; Kāyāmāyāje duniyāmāb āḷe, To kiriyāmājogne sambhāḷe;
English meaning: A yogi is he who knows the methods, in countless ways he maintains yoga. He who shuns body and love for this world, takes care of yoga in deed.
Verse 4
Jugesar jognābhed dohelājī. Jogī te je jugat jāṇe, Jog mantrane bāndhejī; Sayyad Imām Shāhv āṇīboliyā, Ved mantre jog sādhe; Jugesar jognābhed dohelājī
English meaning: A yogi is he who understands the methods (of yoga) and he firmly holds on to the mantras (words or phrases for repetition) of asceticism. Sayyid Imam Shah (r.a.) says that the mantras of Vedas can lead to success in yoga.
