Verse 1

joi joi mārage chālo Sayyad Al Imam (ra) (Selected verses) Vīrāmārājoi joi mārage chālo, e to vikhḍo mārag āpṇāshāh taṇo, e nakalankītaṇo

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Walk on the path cautiously; the path of our Mawla is arduous.

Vīrāmārāmunivar tame nirmal hansā, pelāk a b ūdhiyābag jevākāgḍā

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Believers are like swans, whereas the foolish are like cranes and crows.

Verse 4

Vīrāmārāhans te je chūṇe ratan, pelānarag chūṇe bag kāgḍā

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Swans peck at diamonds whereas cranes and crows peck at garbage.

Verse 5

Vīrāmārāmān sarovar vase hans, pelākhāṇe vase bag kāgḍā

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Swans reside in Mān Sarovar (name of a pond), whereas cranes and crows dwell in places where there are edibles.

Vīrāmārāmunivar te jāgi kare bhajan, pelānachint sūve pāpi kāgḍā

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Believers are awake in order to worship, whereas sinful crows sleep carelessly.

Vīrāmārāmunivar te jikare bhajane husiyār, pelā kūḍīyājāge par ghar nārne

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Believers stay awake in remembrance and worship, whereas the wicked are awake in the homes of strange women.

Vīrāmārāmunivar te ek Alinūnām, pelā kūḍīyājāge par ghar kāraṇe

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Believers are those who remember only the name of Ali (as), whereas the wicked stay awake for strange homes.

Verse 9

Vīrāmārāmunivar khāve khaṭīsāch, pelā kūḍīyākhāve chhal bhed karī

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Believers eat from honest earnings whereas the wicked feed on fraudulent earnings.

Verse 10

Vīrāmārāmunivarne man lakhmīchhe kārī, pelāk ū ḍ īyāharāmīlobhīdhan tāṇ

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Believers consider wealth as an evil whereas the wicked are avaricious for wealth.

Verse 11

Vīrāmārāmunivarne rāj savālākh, pelā kūḍīyājāse ujaḍvanmā

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Believers will reign for one hundred and twenty-five thousand years, whereas the wicked will go to the deserted forest.

Verse 12

Vīrāmārāmunivarne man māneāsaṇgār, pelā kūḍīyāne hāthe page loh jaḍiyā

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Believers will receive their favorite adornment, whereas the wicked will have iron fetters on their hands and feet.

Vīrāmārāmunivarne nār pachās, pelā kūḍīyāne ghare vichhūsarap bhareā

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Believers will receive fifty houries, whereas the homes of the wicked will be full of snakes and scorpions.

Verse 14

Vīrāmārāmunivarne amrāpūrīno vāso, pelā kūḍīyājāse kumbhīnaragmā

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Believers will acquire a place in the eternal abode, whereas the wicked will go to the hell named Kumbhi.

Vīrāmārāmunivarne megādamarnīchhāṅe, pelāk ū ḍ īyābaḷe agnījārmā

English meaning: O My beloved brother! Believers will be under the shade of thick clouds, whereas the wicked will burn in the flames of fire.
