Verse 1

jugat jol santosh pātra karo Abadhū jugat jol santosh pātra karo, Ane ḍanḍā karo vichār; Khamiyā dayākī doe mudrā pahero, Ginān karjo āhār; Abadhū te jogī jugmāṅhe, Jāko man dūjāre nāhīṅ, Abadhū te jogī jugmāṅhe

English meaning: O saint (ascetic)! Make the methods of Bandagi your pouch, contentment your vessel and thoughts your staff. Adorn the earrings of forgiveness and compassion, and make knowledge your food. O saint! A true saint in this world is one whose heart is not attached to any other thing. He is the saint in this world.

Verse 2

Abadhū gur merā ginān verāgkī indrī, Ane sangam karo bhabhūtā; Sāch dharam sach karī dhiyāvo, To jogī hae abdhūtā; abadhū te jogī

English meaning: O saint! My spiritual guide is the means of my knowledge and perception of renunciation, so make his company your ashes. Firmly practice the true faith for the one who practices this, is a true saint.

Verse 3

Abadhū chāndo sūraj doe rokī rākho, Ane man chit dharo is ḍanḍī; Sukhmaṇā tantī vājaṇ lāgī, E bhed kise ja khanḍī; abadhū te jogī

English meaning: O saint! Stop the rise and fall of the breath and concentrate your heart and thoughts at this point, then the third channel starts to reverberate. This mystery has been penetrated by very few.

Verse 4

Abadhū sab avguṇ tajo triveṇī nahāvo, Ane anhad nād bajāo; Kahe Pīr Shams jivant marīye, To avrath janam na pāo; abadhū te jogī

English meaning: O saint! Forsake all evil, bathe at the unison of three rivers and keep on playing the unending (spiritual) instrument. Pir Shams (r.a.) says: Die while you live, then you will not be born again. As per the Farman of Imam Sultan Muhammad Shah (s.a.) this method of Bandagi by controlling the breathing is no longer practiced in our Tariqah.
