Verse 1

kaljug puraṇ parvarīyo Sayyid lmām Shāh (r.a.) Ejī kaljug puraṇ parvarīyo, Bhai satīyūṅnū chukshe sat; Te sāchā to jūṭhūṅ bolshe, Tenī herī te leshe sarve mat

English meaning: O brother! Kali Yuga (the present era) has arrived completely when the believers will lose their truth. Truthful people will speak lies; they will be deprived of their common-sense (intellect).

Verse 2

Ejī munivar munivar sahū koi kahāvshe, Paṇ munivarno bhed na jāṇe koi; Je āp gāḷi gurnī vāchā pāḷe, Bhāī sāchā munivar sohi

English meaning: O brother! Everyone will claim himself to be a believer but no one understands the secret of a believer. The one who annihilates his own se lf and follows the words of the spiritual guide, only he is a true believer.

Verse 3

Ejī munivar munivarnī nindā karshe, Māṅhe māṅhe uṭhāḍshe dhandh; Te kuṭumbmāṅhe kalesh uṭhāḍshe, Bhāī te jāṇo kaljugnā chhand

English meaning: O brother! Believers will indulge in gossip against each other, will cause disturbances amongst themselves, and will instigate quarrels within the family. Such are the strategies of Kali Yuga.

Verse 4

Ejī māḍī jāyā be bandhvā, Te potāmā karshe ver; Māī bāpnī pratagnā nahīṅ pāḷshe, Bhāī evo varatshe kaher

English meaning: O brother! Two real brothers will foster enmity amongst themselves; they will not obey the orders of parents. Such calamity will spread.

Verse 5

Ejī tiyāṅ pāp chhalīne pūre vaheshe, Tāre dharam taṇāṇo jāe; Bāvā benīne virodh ja bolshe, Māī bāp sar deshe pāe

English meaning: O brother! There sins will overflow like flood in which religion will drift away. Brother will speak against sister and parents will put their heads on the feet (of children).

Verse 6

Ejī evī vikhḍī veḷā āvī utāvḷī, Tame munivar rahejo hushiyār; Bhāī kāl kartāṅ āj karo, Have Shāh Alī thāea s vār

English meaning: O brother! Such a hard time has arrived speedily, O believers! Be cautious. O brother! Do today what you intend to do tomorrow; now the time has come for Mawla Ali (a.s) to ride.

Verse 7

Ejī munivar sukrit tame samar lejo, Ane dejo te satgurne hāth; Tenū imān sāchū chāndarṇū chhe, Jevī pūnam ajvāḷī rāt

English meaning: O believers! Take the provision of virtuous deeds for the Hereafter and offer it in the presence of the true guide; your faith will be as illuminated as the bright night of the full moon.

Verse 8

Ejī raheṇī te sohāe chāndsūṅ, Ane soḷ kaḷā bharpūr; Tem imān sohāere sāchsūṅ, Bhāī to zikare varse nūr

English meaning: O brother! Just as the night looks beautiful due to the moon and emerges in its full splendor, so is the faith beautified due to the truth; then light pours down through the means of zikr.

Verse 9

Ejīnūr varse het upje, Ane meher mohbat āe; Imān sarīkho chāndrūṇo, Te māṅhe bhed na karshe pāe

English meaning: O brother! Divine love rises when light pours down and mercy and affection are created. Faith is like moon-light which cannot be differentiated by any body.

Verse 10

Ejī bhaṇe Sayyad Imām Shāh suṇo munivaro, Jīvne kāīṅ pāḍo chho janjāḷ; Chetī sago tame chetjo, Pachhe punnī tūṭshe pāḷ

English meaning: O brother! Sayyid Imam Shah (r.a.) says: O believers! Why are you putting your soul into encumbrances. Be careful if you can, otherwise the opportunity for virtuous deeds will be lost.
