Verse 1
Ho jīre mārāh a n s ā Karṇīkamāvo to rabjīsūṅrācho, To ā tirath traveṇī āp chalṇājī
English meaning: O my momin brother! If you will perform good deeds you will meet the Sustainer. Then the three holy rivers will come towards you of their own accord.
Verse 2
Ho jīre mārā hansā Budhnī bandūk ne surtīno dārū, To ā ginān golī bich bharnājī
English meaning: O my momin brother! Take the gun of wisdom and intelligence and the gunpowder of thought and concentration. Then load it with the bullet of Ginan.
Verse 3
Ho jīre mārā hansā Premno palīto dilsūṅdāgīje, To shabad bhaḍākesūṅ laḍnājī
English meaning: O my momin brother! Ignite the fuse of love with the heart and fight with the exp losion of the word (Ism-e- Āzam).
Verse 4
Ho jīre mārāh a n s ā Ḍhāl dhaṇīnī dhīrapsūṅ bāndhīje, To satkī talvāresūṅ laḍnājī
English meaning: O my momin brother! Fasten the shield of the Lord with perseverance and fight with the sword of truth.
Verse 5
Ho jīre mārā hansā Nav bār nagrīmābāvan bajār, Te māṅhe koi jaṇ sūtāne koi jaṇ jāgejī
English meaning: O my momin brother! There are fifty two markets in the city of nine gates (i.e. bod y), wherein some people are asleep and some are awake.
Verse 6
Ho jīre mārā hansā Isre nagrīmāṅhe ek kuṅvārī chhe kanyā, Te to kuṅvārī sab ras māṇejī
English meaning: O my momin brother! In this city there dwells a virgin maiden who enjoys all pleasures.
Verse 7
Ho jīre mārā hansā Isre nagrīmā ek vikhiyāno velo, Te to vele kīdho vistārjī
English meaning: O my momin brother! Within this city there is a poisonous creeping plant, which has grown luxuriantly.
Verse 8
Ho jīre mārā hansā Isre vele indrā phal lāgā, Te to jemre vadhe tem kaḍvāji
English meaning: O my momin brother! This creeping plant bears the (bitter) fruit of Indrāṇ, the bitterness of which increases as it grows.
Verse 9
Ho jīre mārā hansā Teḍāvo guṇvantā mālīne, Te to jaḍ muḷthī kāḍhī nākhejī
English meaning: O my momin brother! Call the virtuous gardener so that he may remove the plant from its very roots.
Verse 10
Ho jīre mārā hansā Pāḷe ubhā pāṅche pākhanḍiyā, Te to dhaṇīno hukam nav mānejī
English meaning: O my momin brother! There are five deceivers standing at the hedge who do not obey the orders of their master.
