Verse 1

khāk thayā tyāre kāṅi nav jāṇīye Bāi Buḍhāi Jīre bhāi khāk thayā tyāre kāṅi nav jāṇīye, Ane sau koi hīṇā kaheve jīre bhāi

English meaning: O brother! When you have become (as humble as) the dust then do not have concern about anything; everyone will regard you as inferior.

Verse 2

Jīre bhāi jenā peṭ thī tū kūṅvar janamiyā, Mātā aor fasātūn na bolāe jīre bhāi

English meaning: O brother! For the sake of the mother from whose womb you were born a prince do not talk of despondency.

Verse 3

Jīre bhāi khāk thāvūṅte dharam ne kāje, Paṇ potāno garās kem melo jīre bhāi

English meaning: O brother! To become (as humble as) the dust is for the sake of religion, but why do you forgo your rights?

Verse 4

Jīre bhāi āpṇā nānā to bālak ja hotā, Tenū nahīṅ garās nahīṅ ṭhām jīre bhāi

English meaning: O brother! Our grandfathe r (The Prophet S.A.S.) was a child; he did not have any rights or place.

Verse 5

Jīre bhāi nānpaṇ mā māṅ bāp marī ja gayā, Tāre to khāk thai ne beṭhā jīre bhāi

English meaning: O brother! His parents died in childhood and so he remained as humble as dust.

Verse 6

Jīre bhāi moṭā hatā pekambarī kā dāvā, Tāsūṅ āpṇā nahīṅ chāle jīre bhāi

English meaning: O brother! The status of his Prophethood was very high; before him we are insignificant.

Verse 7

Jīre bhāi Bāi Buḍhāi tam sūṅ ardās ja bole, Tame khāk thāo mere bhāi jīre bhāi

English meaning: O brother! Bai Budhai entreats you to remain as humble as the dust.
