Verse 1

(Garbi) Māṅhe varse amrat nūr, Ke kudratīkheljore lol

English meaning: On both sides tie up a few healthy bullock with a rope.

Har kiriyāchhe gurjīne hāth, Ke samaraṇīhāth karore lol

English meaning: Ploughing is in the hands of the spiritual guide; take the ploughshare in your hand. (Or every deed is in the hands of the spiritual guide; keep the remembrance of God with you).

English meaning: Cultivate a field of good deeds and sow religious deeds.

English meaning: Remove the curtains of sin and remain cautious in your heart.

Karamnākāḍho kūḍāmūl, Ke man chokhākarore lol

English meaning: Remove the roots of evil deeds and purify the heart.

English meaning: Remove wild plants and set up a fence of the pangs of separation.

Pūn prīt karo sangāt, Ke Alīsūn het dharore lol

English meaning: Make virtue and love your companions, and keep the love of Ali (a.s.).

Amar khetar lejo joi, Ke ḍhage ḍhāḷjore lol

English meaning: In this way obtain an eternal field and keep accumulating this.

Tame lūṇīlejo lūṇvākāj, Ke ahonis jāgjore lol

English meaning: Reap that which is worth reaping and remain vigilant day and night.

Verse 12

Khaḷo karjo khabardār, Ke be pār pūrākarore lol

English meaning: Keep a watchman so that both sides are well guarded (or for the protection of the field set up a strong thorny hedge on both sides).

Dharamnādhorīthai karjo kām, Ke to amar upnāre lol

English meaning: Work as if you were bullocks of religion, then there will be an eternal crop.

Gāḍābharjo gur ginān, Ke mindar māṅhe meljore lol

English meaning: Fill up the cart with the knowledge of the spiritual guide and keep it in your heart.

Chitmāṅhe chorīma karjo joi, Ke Dasond āljore lol

English meaning: Do not steal (or cheat) knowingly in your heart and keep paying Dasond.

Em ramjo din ne rāt, Ke to rāj ruḍākarore lol

English meaning: Always frolic (behave) in this way then you will rule well or reign excellently.

Tame bhāve bhagtīkarjo kām, Ke to phal pāmshore lol

English meaning: Do the work of worship with devotion then you will obtain the reward.
