Verse 1

Merī merī te bando shūṅ karere, Evā bhūlā te traṇe lokre

English meaning: O man! What are you being so selfish about? The people of three worlds have gone astray in this way.

Verse 2

Pākhanḍe prothavī rāchiyejī, Koi na jāṇe dharam āchārre

English meaning: The whole world is involved in deceit; no one believes in performing religious deeds.

Verse 3

Āgaḷ jātā pastāshojī, Tāre lekho leshe sansārre

English meaning: You will regret later on; when He will take account from the whole world.

Verse 4

Til tilno lekho thāeshejī, Tāre kevā thāeshe havālre

English meaning: When you will have to account for something as minute as a sesame seed; what will be your condition at that time?

Verse 5

Romrāe tyāṅ gavāhi pūrshejī, Shāh tyāṅ devrāvshe ghaṇ kerā mārre

English meaning: Every hair of the body will bear witness there; the Lord will have severe punishment meted out to you.

Verse 6

Hāth ghasantā thākshojī, Tāre koi na karshe vārre

English meaning: You will tire of wringing your hands in regret;no one will come to your help then.

Verse 7

Māī bāp tyāṅ nahīṅ āvshejī, Nahīṅ tyāṅ ben nahīṅ tyāṅ bhāīre

English meaning: Neither mother and father will come there nor sister nor brother.

Verse 8

Sagā kuṭumb nahīṅ āvshejī, Jīv eklo tyāṇ uṭhāere

English meaning: Relatives and family members will also not come; there the man will be raised alone.

Verse 9

Bahot pukār tyāṅ jīv karshejī, Koi vār na chaḍe sangāthre

English meaning: At that time the man will cry out pitifully; no one will come to help them.

Verse 10

Satpanth jeṇe bheṭiyājī, Te pāmshe amrāpūrī ṭhāmre

English meaning: He who attained Satpanth (true path) will get place in the eternal abode.

Verse 11

Pīr Hasan Shāh em boliyājī, Tame dhyāvo dharam āchārre

English meaning: Pir Hasan Shah (r.a.) says: Perform religious deeds.
