Verse 1

Jīre bāi nar ke pāūṅ hāth jo rākho, To dharam hove Bāi Buḍhāi jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! If you touch the feet of the Lord then O Bai Budhai! You will be able to obtain religion.

Verse 2

Jīre bāi Pos māse ame bahār ja jāshūṅ, Have kāṅkaṇ bandhāvo morī bāi jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! In the month of Posh I will go out (of town); O my sister! Get the .ā۪ka۬tied (offer Bay‘at).

Verse 3

Jīre bāi dharam pūjā jo tamne joie, To tame lio ne āp sambhārī jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! If you want to follow the religion then take care of yourself.

Verse 4

Jīre bāi beṭhe beṭhe tārūṅ mārūṅ janam em ja jāse, Toe daryā lakhīyo nav jāe jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! Yours and mine lives will while away merely sitting (idly); we will not understand that ocean.

Verse 5

Jīre bāi pūre āsaṇ tame pūjā ja rākho, Ame Shāhā Nijār dargāe jāshūṅ jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! Worship with all methods; I will go in the court of Shah Nizar (S.A.)

Verse 6

Jīre bāi dharam mārag bahū chhe doelo, Te sar daine tame sirevo jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! The path of religion is very arduous; sacrifice your head to obtain it.

Verse 7

Jīre bāi bhaṇe Sayyad Imām Shāh pachhe kajiyā thāse, Tāre tamne rakhe dukh lāge jīre bāi

English meaning: O sister! Sayyid Imam Shah (R.A.) says that later when there is a quarrel at that time may you not feel unhappy.
