Verse 1

Satgur kahere piyu piyu to sab jug kare, pan piyu na pave koi; mukh japtan jo piyu mile, to sir sata na hoe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The whole world repeats the name of the belo ved, meaning calls out for the beloved but none can obtian the beloved.. If the beloved could be obtained by repeating the name with the mouth then there would be no need of laying down one's life or the sacrifice of life would not have been necessary.

Satgur kahere sir sata jo kijie, ane reni jagaie ap; jiv lagaie jikarsun, to sacha surijan pas re

English meaning: The Satgur says: If you sacrif ice your life, keep yourself awake the whole night and attach your heart to worship (or meditation) then the true lord will be near you.

Satgur kahere piyu piyu to jiv jant kare, ane piyu na pave koi; jibh japtan jo piyu mile, to bagla hans ja hoe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Every living being calls out for the beloved but none can obtain the beloved. If the beloved could be obtained with repeated calls of the mouth then the crane would have been a swan.

Satgur kahere bag hans be patuntara, ane dise ek varan; pan bag chare man maniyo, ane hans moti charan re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The crane and the swan are both different bu t they look similar. The crane feeds on whatever it wishes but the swan picks only on pearls.

Satgur kahere kach ratan be patuntara, ane kasta pave bhav; kach kamayo vikh bhare, ane ratane ajvalo hoe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Glass and gem (or pearl) are both different and upon testing their value is determined. The glass produces poison upon heating or melting and the pearl (produces) light.

Satgur kahere nugra sugra be patuntara, sarve surat ek saman; pan nugra chave damku, sugra sahebjika nam re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The evil a nd the virtuous are similar in looks but differ acording to attributes (or possess different attributes). An evil man desires deceit whereas a virtuous person desires the name of the lord.

Satgur kahere nam liya so ati ghana, ane prem pida na lae; e to dhuli upar lipna, jem phuta mandal bajae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Repeated the name many times but the ache of love was not born . This is like plastering on dust and beating a broken drum. Saloko Nano

Saloko Nano Satgur kahere prem bhagti to radeh vase, ane antar leh lagae; sas usase em jampie, jem kane surat na jae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The devotion (or feeling) of love resides wi thin the heart and creates happiness from within. Remember the name in each breath in such a way that even the ear can not hear it.

Satgur kahere jis manhe iman pargatiya, tis gaflat hove dur; tiyan andhara sun kare, jiyan satgur kera nur re

English meaning: The Satgur says: In whosoever the light of faith is born negl igence is removed away from him. What can darkness do (in a place) where there is the light of the Satgur?

Verse 10

Satgur kahere nure mindar samariya, ane nure rachio asman; te nur manhethi nur pargatiya, tenu satgur nam re

English meaning: The Satgur says: He created the world from light and created the sky from light. Light manifested from that light whose name is Satgur.

Verse 11

Satgur kahere ame aviya ehi lokma, ane laviya mugatnu sul; te rang bhog bahu padmi pamiya, pan thoda ashaq mul re

English meaning: The Satgur says: We came to this world and brought a solutio n of salvation. Worldly pleasures and luxury acquired a high status but the worth of a beloved (or lover) is not much.

Satgur kahere bhag vada te lokna, jene kidha tap tirath varat bahu didha dan; te sarag bhogvi hethe utariya, jene na olakhiya gurnar shah re

English meaning: The Satgur says: They are very fortunate who worshipped, performed mystic exercises and gave much charity. But those who donot recognize the true guide fall even after enjoying paradise.

Satgur kahere sona rupa to sach hae, ane dije aganki kas; pan baj rasayan galie, te kem kari hove ras re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Gold and s ilver are genuine and are purified when put in fire. But if you melt if without alchemy then how will it dissolve?

Satgur kahere gurke sir to ganthdi, ane sevak ke sir bhar; loha nav manhe besie, to kem kari utarie par re

English meaning: The Satgur says: There is a bundle on the guide's head and a load on the disciple's head. If (they) will sit on an iron boat then how will they go across?

Verse 16

Satgur kahere jiska gur to andhla, ane chela uska phok; te ap matila man hathi, te muve na pame mokh re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Whosoever's guide is blind and his disciple is hollow, such wilful and stubborn (people) do not obtain salvation after death. 17 The Satgur says: The whole wo rld dies a false death, no one d ies truly. The one who dies according to the ginan of the guide, he need not die again. Saloko Nano

English meaning: The Satgur says: This world is a big ocean and upon the head is kept a load. If you will sit in the boat of the truth then the Satgur will take you across to the other shore.

Verse 19

Satgur kahere nav kije Alike namki, ane manhe sacha bharie bhar; pavan jo chale premka, to satgur utare par re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Make a boat of the name of Hazrat Ali (a.s.) and load it with the cargo of truth. If the wind of love blows then the Satgur will take you across to the other shore.

Verse 20

Satgur kahere bhula bhraman jiv tu na bhulie, ane satgur bijo ma jan; e jiv pindhko je dhani, jene nipai chare khan re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The Brahmin (Hindu priest) is oblivious, then O man! do not be oblivious and do not regard anyone else as the true guide. The Lord of the soul and body is He who created the four khans (stages of creations).

Satgur kahere char khan manhe jiv tu aviyo, ane bhulo te bohot apar; purav pun pota tanu, to pamiyo mankha avtar re

English meaning: The Satgur says: O man! you have crossed (passed through) th e four khans (stages of creation) and were oblivious many a time. Due to your past virtues you have been born as a human being.

Satgur kahere mankha avtar tu pamiyo, pan koi na jane mugatnu bhed; e manak moto sun thayo, jo antar na padiyo chhed re

English meaning: The Satgur says: You obtained the human form but no one know s the secret of salvation. Of what use is it if a pearl is large yet cannot be pearced?

Satgur kahere mankha sarikhi dehi ten dhari, te nahin ave varoi var; patra pichhani brahm ja pujie, to kul hove nistar re

English meaning: The Satgur says: You obtained the human like form which cann ot be obtained time and again. Recognize the bearer of light and worship the lord then your family will also obtain salvation.

Satgur kahere kal sinchanu sir phire, ane mat ko bandho an; piyuji ridah ma rakhie, jem ravi ugamiyo bhan re

English meaning: The Satgur says: the bird of death is hovering over your head and give up your vices. Keep the beloved in your heart just as the bright sun rises.

Verse 25

Satgur kahere ravi ugiyo ne anjvalo bhayo, ane reni te hove dur; tem nav khand manhe shah parkasiya, jem parbhate ugiyo sur re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The sun rose and there was light, the night faded away. In the same way the lord is manifest in the whole world just as the sun rises in the morning.

Satgur kahere suraj ugiyo te sahu din kahe, ane reni na kaheve koi; tem satgur jugmanhe mugatko datar hae, bhai avrathi mugat na hoe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: When the sun rises everyone calls it day, none call it night. In the same way the Satgur is the lord of salvation in this world. O brother! no one else can save. Saloko Nano

English meaning: The Satgur says: We came to this world and brought the secre t of salvation. Those who recognized the light of the Imam (a.s.) they immediately obtained immortality.

Satgur kahere partak joie parkhun, ane sache mane pati lae; e loha paras jo mile, te khan ek manhe kanchan thae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: O those who r ecognize! he is manifest, recognize him and believe in him with a true heart. When iron touc hes the the Paras (the philoso phers's stone) then in a split of a second it turns into gild.

Verse 29

Satgur kahere iyal bhamri doe patuntaro, ane lai mindarma bahe; bhamri chatko iyal sahe, to ap samani thae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: There is a difference between Iyal (an ins ect) and a Bhamri (bee) and it (Bhamri) takes the insect (Iyal) in a house. When the insect bears the sting of the bee then it becomes like the bee.

Satgur kahere bhut bhagti to sab jug kare, ane padiya te mote pher; jiv jangal jai tu vase, tiyan kon vatave ser re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The whole world worships idols and they are involved in an unending cycle. O man! you go and live in a forest who will guide you there?

Verse 33

Satgur kahere jai jangal bhulo padiyo, tiyan kisku puchhe rahe; mahavan manhe jo manas mile, to thekana batlae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: You have gone to the jungle and stayed. There who will you ask for guidance? If in the dense forest you come across a human being then he will guide you.

Satgur kahere sach juthka patuntara, ane parkho te parkhanhar; e moti bhangiyo vindhta, tenu gayo mul apar re

Satgur kahere sachane sir chadavie, je kahe antarni vat; juthane koi puchhe nahin, te na jane shahani dhat re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Respect the true people, those who speak th e truth. None honours liers, he does not know the secret of the lord. 37 The Satgur says: The whole world respects the liers and kicks the true. If the liers meet each other they will talk of fraud and deceit.

Satgur kahere sabha sarikhu sahu koi bole, ane koi na bole sat dharam; kare ninda ne ap na vichare, tin sir bese karam re

English meaning: The Satgur says: They will talk of matters pleasing others, none will talk of the true religion. Will not ponder while gossiping. The burden of this will fall upon their heads alone. Saloko Nano

Saloko Nano Satgur kahere karam to sarve utre, ane na utre par ninda ne al; par gavan na utre, na utre ap hatiya ne bal re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The burden of all evil deeds will be remove d but the burden of gossip and slander will not be removed. The sin of adultery will not be rem oved and the sin of suicide and infanticide will not be forgiven.

Verse 40

Satgur kahere panch hatiya to papni, jin sir lakhi nilade ae; te nit uthi gat manhe jae, toe jiv amar na thae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The five murders (evils) are full of sins. On whosoever's head falls the burden of these, even if he rises and goes daily to Jamatkhana, then too that man will not become immortal.

Verse 41

Satgur kahere tap tirath kare sab jug, ane deta maha bhom dan; toe karam na utre, jo kare gat ganganu snan re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The whole world may worship, perform mystic excercises, perform pilgrimage of the holy places, generously donate land and bathe in the Ganges, then too those sins (of the five evils) will not be forgiven.

Verse 42

Satgur kahere panch hatiya parlok thi, ane likhi lohane lae; te phate ne phite nahin, te bhogvi chhute ae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The punishment of the five evils is ordained from that world (the Kingdom of God) and it is an inscripti on on iron. It will neither break nor fade away. Deliverance can be obtained only by enduring it with patience.

Verse 43

Satgur kahere adhogate jiv tu aviyo, ane padiyo te chare khan; te adhuro indo galiyo, te na jane ugamiyo bhan re

English meaning: The Satgur says: O man! you have come into degradation and fa llen into the four stages of creation. That unhatched egg broke, it did not realize that the sun had risen.

Verse 45

Satgur kahere sehastra pachas bhogvi aviyo, ane te mankha deh; satpanth sir laga nahin, jem unade utha meh re

English meaning: The Satgur says: You have gone through fifty thousand births or lived fifty thousand lives and have come in the form of a human being. But (you) did not accept Stpanth, then it is as if there was summer rain (unseasonal rain which is useless or harmful for the crops).

Verse 46

Satgur kahere nagarmanhe khada khabochiya, jai bhade ganga manhe; papi eni pere pavan thae, jo jai bhade sat dharam manhe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: In villages there small pits, drains and ca nals which go and meet with the Ganges. Sinners will become purified like this if they will go and meet the true religion.

Verse 47

Satgur kahere rang patang to kurang hae, ane eso duniyanu rang; pan satpanth chod majith hae, bhai baqi rang patang re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The colour o f butterflies is not fast and the colour of the world is also like this. But the colour of Satpanth is fast. O brother! All other colours are colours of the butterfly (running colour).

Satgur kahere tame rang rangavo sach sun, ane jeso patole dhang; te jadi gali tukda ho rahe, toe na mele rang re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Adopt the colour of truth just like a cloth which is printed. It rots and tears into bits and pieces but does not give up its colour. Saloko Nano

English meaning: The Satgur says: That fool waers good clothes and considers the world a friend. That sinner eats and drinks for his body but does not worry about the soul.

Satgur kahere satka bana peherie, ane antar leh lagae; sas usase em japie, jiyun kane surat na jae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Adorn the garment of truth and creat devoti on in the heart and in each breath remember the unuttered word in such a way that it cannot be heard even by the ear.

Satgur kahere asa maro sach sun, ane satka karo sangar; naene kajal nehka, piyu karo galeka har re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Kill your desires with truth, adorn (yourse lf) with truth, apply the lamp- black of truth to your eyes and make the beloved a garland of the neck. 52,. The Satgur says: Becoming brav e he sacrifices life and injures the enemy. He does not care about his life and is relieved only upon death.

Satgur kahere mua te je man mua, ane dharti hove ap; e panch tatav kera putla, te jape ajapiya jap re

English meaning: The Satgur says: He died a tru e death who killed his carnal deisres and made himself like the earth. This statue of five elements repeats the unuttered word in the heart.

Satgur kahere sab jug dekhiya nirdhana, ane dhanvant na dekhiya koi; dhanvant usku ankhie, jeni prit piyasun hoe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: I beheld the whole world poor and saw none wealthy. Wealthy is he whose love is for the beloved.

Verse 55

Satgur kahere so dhan sanchore bapde, jene ghat na ghale koi; jara maran ganje nahin jiv apna, pachhe mue niveda hoe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: O man! accumulate that wealth which none cause harm to. Even in old age and at the time of death the soul would have no fear. Then the verdict will be given after death.

Satgur kahere ami pite vikh utre, ane pani pite trasna bujae; bhojan jame khudiya bhange, tem Ali japta patak jae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Partaking o f Ab-e-Shafa counters poison and drinking water quenched thirst. Eating food satisfies hunger in the same way the name of Ali (a.s.) removes sins.

English meaning: The Satgur says: Whosoever knows our secret remains on the r ight path. He reaches his destination and then he never returns.

Satgur kahere prem piyasi man vase, ane man manhe kiya neh; e duniya durijan dakhve, te jalbal hove kheh re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The thirst of love lies in the heart and w ithin the heart alone there is devotion. Thus false world inflicts pain,, it will burn to ashes.

Satgur kahere prit piyani doeli, ane prem pida hae sul; e kanak kasote apku, to chauda pave mul re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The love of the beloved is arduous and the ache of love is tormenting. When the gold puts itself to trials then its velue is enhanced.

Satgur kahere mul paya so mar chaliya, jene kaleje laga ban; vajar vejo lage nahin, te parbat kera pan re

English meaning: The Satgur says: He whose heart was pierced by the arrow of love obtained the worth and he becomes immortal. On whom even iron spear have no effect, he is like the stone from a mountain.

Satgur kahere pahan par bodhi ras kiya, na gale te nugra maha ajan; eran melva tukda, gur bina te jutha ban re

English meaning: The Satgur says: I advised a stone and melted it but the one without a spititual guide who is completley ignorant did not melt. He is like a piece of anvil, without the spiritual guide all arrows are false.

Verse 64

Satgur kahere bon bohola gure boliya, ane samjhe te sacha koi; e lohathi akhar pargatiya, bhai pale so pindhat hoe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: TheSpiritual G uide has said very sweet words but the one who is true only he can understand. This work has been revealed since eternity. Whoever will act upon it, he alone is the true sage.

Satgur kahere pindhat padiya bohot kar, ane sacha na liya ser; jo bohotera dodiye, to padie mote pher re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The pundit (B rahman teacher) read much but did not take the true path. If you will run much you will suffer misfortune.

Satgur kahere phera to tisku pade, jine kiya mindar manhe doe; navsa keda pargatiya, tenu maram na buje koi re

English meaning: The Satgur says: He fell into misfortune who remained divide d in his heart. The lord was manifest like the bridegroom but no one knows his secret. Saloko Nano

Saloko Nano Satgur kahere bhekh hamari kansari, ane sab jug dekhe bhi ae; gunvanta gun ankhie, pachhe mue sukrit likhae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Our form (man ifstation) is difficult to understand and the whole world has seen it. O virtuous people! see his virtues, then after death it will be counted together with virtuous deeds.

Satgur kahere bhekh sara jag kare, ane kar pargat dikhlae; e jibh japta piyu mile, so mindar piyu pae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The whole wo rld impersonates and having impersonated reveals its clearly. If with repeated uttering of the mouth the beloved could be obt ained then the beloved would be found in every house.

Satgur kahere piyu piyu karta jo piyu mile, ane sir upar bhariya bhar; jo man khele mokda, bhangi nav na hove par re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Were it by repeatedly calling out the belov ed, the beloved could be obtained, whereas there is a load on the head and the heart kept straying, (then rememeber that) one cannot reach the other shore in a broken boat.

Satgur kahere ginani pindhat jug manhe kilave, ane charan pilave ap; maram na jane mokhka, to adka karna pap re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Many people in the world are known as sage s and pundits and cause others to drink the water used for washing their feet. They do not know the secret of salvation whereby sins are excessively committed.

Satgur kahere pap parjaline lodie, jo tuk tuk deh hoe; jo dam uthe nabh thi, tenu maram na buje koe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Shun sins and solicit that lord, even if your body is cut into peices. The breath that arises from the naval none knows its secret.

Verse 72

Satgur kahere damodam Ali japie, ane aora te chint na lae; piyu patuntaro rati na rakhie, jiyun samandar laher samae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: In every breath rememeber the name of Hazrat Ali (a.s.) and do not attach your heart to anything else. Do not keep the beloved even a wee bit away as the wave is accomodated within the ocean.

Satgur kahere jikar ja lavo jivda, ane reni te hove hath; jo dam uthe nabh thi, tab piyusun karna vat re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Attach your h eart to the remembrance and you will obtain control over the night. When breath rises from the naval then talk with the beloved.

Verse 74

Satgur kahere vate vada na hoie, kar manak mukh le sahebjiko nam; sach vina jo japie, jiyun ujad kheda gam re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Do not talk nonesense, be good and with the mouth take the name of the lord. If you will rememeber without the truth then it will be like a deserted village.

Satgur kahere ujad kheda to phir vase, ane nirdhaniya dhanvant hoe; pan ek achambo ankhie, bhai mua na jive koe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: why do you worship purposelessly? believe in the manifest Nur. Until he does not implement or act upon love that man falls into the four stages of creation.

Satgur kahere satiya satiya jug manhe bohot kilave, ane sati te virla koe; sab jug sove ne ap jage, ane jikare darshan hoe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: In the world many people are known as pious but very few are pious. Pious is he who when the whole world sleeps he stays awake and in this way with remembrance the didar is obtained.

Satgur kahere ghat manhe tirath sanmukh hae, ane ghat manhe dharam duvar, ghatmanhe deval pujie, ane ghatmanhe mugat didar re

English meaning: The Satgur says: All holy places are present within the hear t and in the very heart lies the place of worship. Make the heart the placeof worship and in the very heart lies the salvation and didar.

English meaning: The Satgur says: There is lig ht on top of the house and pitc h black night within. Such external cleaning is useless whereby the dirt still remains.

Satgur kahere tirath travenima nahie, ane japie ajapiya jap; panch pavitra kijie, to kulna jave pap re

English meaning: The Satgur says: In the conflu ence of the three rivers (mean ing Jamatkhana), bathe in an esoteric way (i.e. internally) and remember the unuttered word. Purify all the five elements, then the sins of your progeny will be forgiven.

English meaning: The Satgur says: In the morning the sun rose and in the whol e world there was light. Wherever you see the same kind of light is there. In every heart there is the abode of the beloved.

Verse 91

Satgur kahere sona vechi sajan lijie, ane moti kere mul; ve sajan kem chhodie, bhai loka kere bol re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Obtain the beloved in the price of gold, nay in the price of pearl. How can such a beloved be given up for the sake of what the people say?

Verse 92

Satgur kahere bole bole lijie, ane piyune pichhan; sir sate jo piyu mile, to bhi songha jan re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Move forward to obtain him and recognize the beloved. If the beloved is obtained even upon sacrificing the life then too think it to be inexpensive.

Satgur kahere sir sata to kijie, jo piyuji vakata hoe hat; to ek khan vilamb na kijie, bhai hathe dije kat re

English meaning: The Satgur says: If the belove d is being sold in the market then cut off your head and give it. Do not dealy even for a moment and with your own hand cut off your head and give it.

Verse 94

Satgur kahere ishq to vadi manhe na nipje, e ishq to hate na vechae; ishq to haida manhe nipje, te haido kori khae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Passion does not grow in gardens nor is passion sold in markets. Passion rises in the heart and eats up the heart from within.

Verse 95

Satgur kahere prem ras to ati ras mithda, ane je koi dekhe chakh; shaha jo pave sir lagi, tenu haidu deve sankh re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The nectar of love is sweet nectar and whoe ver knows it taste obtains the lord in his own being and his hert bears testimony to this.

Verse 96

Satgur kahere Ali ras jene chakhiya, ane avra mukh nahin bae; prem mata men jo mare, te betha prem ras khae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Whoever has known the taste of the nectar of Hazrat Ali (a.s.) he will not like anything else. Whoever dies with the intoxication of love, he is delighted with the nectar of love.

Satgur kahere sati thi to kiyun rahi, jo na jali piyujike lae; ja ja na mui gheldi, have prem laj na mahen re

English meaning: The Satgur sasy: It is worth nothing even though one is pious if she is not consumed in the fire of passion for the lord. Away with you o foolish one! Why did you nor die? neither do you have love nor shame. Saloko Nano

Satgur kahere ugiya tene dhiaie, ane varo teni an; kal bhojan jamiya, bhai teni aj shi vakhan re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Obey him who has risen and the era belongs to the one who reigns. Of what use is it if the food eaten yesterday is praised today?

Satgur kahere bhulavane jiv tu aviyo, ane bhuliyo te maha ajan; varovar jiv tu aviyo, toe na mariyo panche kal re

English meaning: The Satgur says: O man! You have gone astray and o fool! You have gone much astray. You come again and again but could not obtain control over the five evils.

Verse 103

Satgur kahere panch kal jine vas kiya, mari rahiya jug manhe; pachhe satgur sathi kijie, to jiv amrapuri jae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Whoever obtai ned control over five evils a nd lived in the world as one already dead. After this if he made truth his companion, then he will go to paradise.

Satgur kahere duniya durijan dur karo, ane antar leh lagae; satgur dipak hath kari, dhundhe so moman piyu pae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Shun the antagonist world and create devot ion in the heart. The believer who searches with the lamp of the Satgur in his hand obtains the beloved.

Satgur kahere duniya rang dhuma kero, ane koi na jane bhed; suni puja jugmanhe kare, bhai varatiya vanche ved re

English meaning: The Satgur says: The colour of the world resembles smoke and none know its secret. They worship purposelessly and the follower of religion read the scriptures.

Verse 106

Satgur kahere duniya dode bohot kar, ane dode na pave koe; ujad mindar jai utre, tis kon pilave toe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: People are in constant pursuit of the wor ld but nothing is obtained by this pursuit. He reaches a deserted house, who will offer him a drink of water?

Verse 107

Satgur kahere sacha sachi vate dodie, ane shaha gaya jis vat; jota jota jaie, ane hinde paie ghat re

English meaning: The Satgur says: If you are true then pursue the true path, the path on which the lord has gone. Look at him and keep going and while going along you will reach destination.

Satgur kahere pagle pagle dhundhie, ane joie sat ki vat; sat vina je chaliya, te ghadae bohotera ghat re

Satgur kahere suli upar nachna, ane khele te khelanhar; sami anie chalna, bhalka pade teni var re

English meaning: The Satgur says: This is like dancing on the gibbet and onl y the sportive can play the game. No matter how many wounds are inflicted, one has to move forward.

Satgur kahere qol hamara sach hae, ane sache man pati lae; phari phari nahin avna, pachhe ekoter sathe jae re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Our word is true and heartily think it tru e. You will not have to come again and again. Then the seventy-one generations willl also go along.

Satgur kahere gai gai batan kiya karo, ane hajar buje bhev; bar karod lai chaliya, eva sacha Gur Sohodev re

English meaning: The Satgur says: Why recall past happennings, understand th e secret of the one who is present. Took along twelve crores, such a true guide was Sohdev (Pir Sadardin r.a.).

Satgur kahere partak ugiya ne pargatiya, ane bhitar chandruna hoe; e sol kalasun ugiya, teni rasan na buje koe re

English meaning: The Satgur says: (He) rose clearly and manifested and the l ight spreaded within. He rose with sixteen attributes. No one can understand the truth of this.

English meaning: The Satgur says: This all is the secret of truth and he has to remain on truth. Whoever remained without the truth will remain in much misery.

Satgur kahere kaljug manhe athar ved hae, ane thar nahin sansar; a ved vaeke je chaliya, te tarkar langiya par re

English meaning: The Satgur says: There are scr iptures in Kaljug (the last era) and the world knows no peace. Whoever acted according to the Holy Books, he swam across to the other shore.

Satgur kahere kaljug manhe Pir Sadardin sach hae, ane sacha te karod bar; sacha te sahebne srevta, tene na kidhi var re

English meaning: The Satgur says: In this Kaljug, Pir Sadardin (r.a.) is tru e and the twelve crores are also true. He did not delay in the obedience of the true lord.
