Verse 1

sāmīne sāchū karīne srevīe (Selected Verses) Ejī sāmīne sāchū karīne srevīe, To dukh dālidar jāe sarve dūr; Pāp jāe ne pavitar thāe, Jo nirmal karī pīo nūr

English meaning: O brother! Obey the Lord truthfully then all sorrows and miseries will be removed. If you will be pure and partake of QūU(light) (or you will consider this QūUas pure and partake of it) then your sins will be removed and you will be purified.

Verse 2

Ejī sāmīnū nām rideh thakī na visārīe, Ane duniyānā hiras ja vārīe; Evā chār pāro ne pāṅch vāro, To pavitar vast savārīe

English meaning: O brother! Do not forsake the name of the Lord from your heart, and shun the greed of the world. Follow the four (virtues) and remove the five (evils). In this way adorn yourself will pure things.

Verse 3

Ejī najarnā nirmal radehnā āchhā, Ane trījo kharo visvās; Evī karṇīe chālso, To pāmso amrāpūrī vās

English meaning: O brother! Pure eyes, a clean heart and thirdly a strong faith. If you will act in this manner you will obtain the eternal abode.

Verse 4

Ejī mannā bandhāṇā nav bāndhīye, Ane kūḍkapaṭna kariye dilmāṅhe; Je nar nīrabhe pūrā, Te ganjiyā kenā na ganjāe

English meaning: O brother! Do not attach yourself to the heart's desires, and do not foster lie and fraud in the heart. Whosoever is fearless and courageous does not fear anyone's threats.

Verse 5

Ejī kām krodh moho trasnā, Ane madh amal je koe vārse; Khamiyānā khaṇang jene radeh samāṇā, Tethī kaljug hārse

English meaning: O brother! Whosoever will remove carnal desires, anger, attraction (to the worldly matters), greed and pride, and whosoever has swords of forgiveness (or patience) in the heart, will be able to defeat the Kali Yuga.

Verse 6

Ejī sansār sāgar tame ūtrat mūko, Ane moho machh vase jal māṅhe; Kharā mālam jāhaj māṅhe, Te ūvāṭe kem jāe

English meaning: O brother! Swim across the ocean of the world; greedy fish dwell in this water. The true captain is on the ship, how will he take it to the wrong path?

Verse 7

Ejī je jīv namaskārī ne ginān rūpī, Andar jot dilmā dhare; Sāmīnā gūṇ jene rade samāṇā, Tene kaljug sūṅkare

English meaning: O brother! He who is hu mble and knowledgeable, and carries light in his/her heart; whose heart is filled with the praise of the Lord, then what (harm) can Kali Yuga cause to him?

Verse 8

Ejī ant kāle māro koṇ chhe mātā ne koṇ chhe pitā, Ane samariye raghū rāe; Kāyā nirmal to thāe, Jo dharam sakhāvat thāe

English meaning: O brother! On the final moments (of my life) who is my mother and who is my father? Remember only one Lord. The being becomes purified when there is virtue and generosity.

Verse 9

Ejī anant karoḍnā sāmī lekhā leshe, Ane leshe te mahādanmāṅhe; Kīdhā kartav pūchhshe, Jāre kāgal leshe shāhe

English meaning: O brother! The Lord of countless million saved ones will take account and he will take (account) on the Great Day (the Day of Judgment). When the Lord shall take the paper (record of deeds) then he will question about the deeds done.

Verse 10

Ejī ek lākh ne chovīs hajār, Māṅhe pekāmbar sardār; Nabī Mahmad araj karshe, Sāheb sūṇo faryād

English meaning: O brother! The Holy Prophet ( Sallallāhu µalayhi wa ālihi wa sallam) is the leader among one hundred and twenty four thousand prophets. The Prophet Muhammad ( Sallallāhu µalayhi wa ālihi wa sallam) will entreat: O Lord! Listen to my plea.

Verse 11

Ejī sinter sohoso Husenī milshe, Ane bār karoḍ jamāt; Anant anantnā tiyāṅmunivar milshe, Mārā sāhebjīne darbār

English meaning: O brother! Seven hundred t housand Hussainis and the Jamat of one hundred and twenty million (twelve crore) saved believers w ill meet. Countless saved believers will congregate in my Lord's court.

Verse 12

Ejī gunegārī tiyāṅganj milse, Uṇiyāchārīnū ant na pār; Kīdhā kartav pūchhshe, Mārā sāhebjīne darbār

English meaning: O brother! Countless sinners will gather over there and the number of people without (good) deeds will be infinite. In my Lord's court there will be an accountability of deeds done (in the world).

Verse 13

Ejī adal mol jenā āgal kahiye, Te sāheb lese hisāb; Gupt gunāh tiyāṅpragaṭ thāese, Ane sāmbhaḷshe sarve dev

English meaning: O brother! The Lord who upholds justice and equity will take account. All hidde n sins shall be exposed there and all the spiritual beings will hear this.

Verse 14

Ejī letā detā jeṇe āp na rākhiyo, Ane chhal bhed chhande chālse; Lekhū detā je kūḍā paḍse, Tene bāndhīne narage chalāvshe

English meaning: O brother! Those who are not careful in their dealings, and indulge in fraud and deceit, and those who will prove false when giving account (they all) will be tied up and taken to hell.

Verse 15

Ejī mārūṅ mārūṅ karīne dhan sāṅchaviyo, Ane chāltī veḷāe kāṅī na āviyo jīvne sāth; Dorā dasī sarve chhoḍīnelese, Jīvḍo chāliyo ṭhāle hāth

English meaning: O brother! Wealth accumulated with selfishness did not accompany the soul at the time of departure. The person departed empty handed leaving behind all splendor and grandeur.

Verse 16

Ejī te jīvno jamvāro sarve eḷe gayo, Ane jug vīrodheā chār; Pīrne vachane jeṇe āp na shodhiyā, Te paḍiyā ghor andhār

English meaning: O brother! That person's life was wasted and (in this way) the four yugas (eras) passed away. Whosoever did not search (within) themselves according to the teachings of the Pir, they fell into pitch darkness.

Verse 17

Ejī te jīvno āgal kevo havāl thāse, Ane koṇ lese enī sār; Mārūṅ mārūṅ karīne koṇ rākhshe, Ane koṇ karshe enī vār

English meaning: O brother! What will be the condition of that person up ahead and who will take care of him/her? Who will keep him/her as their dear ones and who will help him/her?

Verse 18

Ejī tiyāṅ nahīṅ koī mātā ne nahīṅ koī pitā, Ane nahīṅ koī bheṇ ne bhāī; Āpṇī āpṇīmā sab koī paḍshe, Ane koī kenū nahīṅ thāe

English meaning: O brother! Neither there will be mother nor father, nor sister nor brother. Everybody will be occupied with themselves, and nobody will care for anyone.

Verse 19

Ejī Pir Sadardin Pir Hasan Kabirdin, Sāmī līo jīv gatnī sār; Ākhar veḷā jāre āvshe, Tāre sāheb thāe asvār

English meaning: O brother! Pir Sadardin (RA) and Pir Hasan Kabirdin (RA) entreat: O Lord! Take care of the believers of the Jamat. When the final era will come the Lord will manifest.

Verse 20

Ejī sāmī umed mārī ne āsh kartā, Ane jug virodhiyā chār; Njṇā pūrā āshvantā, Sāmī sarve langāīe pār

English meaning: O Lord! It is my hope and four yugas have passed in this hope. O Lord! Grant salvation to the noble and the ignoble (those whose deeds are complete and those whose deeds are incomplete) and to those who are hopeful.

Verse 21

Ejī Sayyad Fājal Shāh bando tamāro, Ane Nur Shāhnī vār; Umed dhartā ās ja potī, Ne bheṭiyā tantav dīdār

English meaning: O Lord! Sayyid Fazal Shah (RA) is your servant (and) it is the era of Nur Shah (AS). (We) were hopeful, our hopes were fulfilled and we were blessed with GīGāU.

Verse 23

Ejī chhānde mokh na pāmiye, Ane bhirānte bhagtī na hoe; Man melā man pāk hoiye, To dīdār shāhkā joe

English meaning: O brother! Salvation cannot be obtained with fraudulence, and worship cannot be done with doubt. When the impure heart is purified then the Lord’s GīGāUcan be obtained.

Verse 24

Ejī uṇiyāchārī ne gunehgārī, Kūḍkapaṭ je koī chhoḍse; Sarag vāso te pāmse, Je ādhīn thaī hāth joḍse

English meaning: O brother! If those who are imperfect in their deeds and are sinful, will shun falsehood and fraud, and will humbly fold their hands, they will be graced with a place in heaven.

Verse 25

Ejī sāmī māro evo chhe, Jevo chākrīno re jāṇ; Sāmīnā gūṇ laī je rahe, Tene āpe amrāpūrī ṭhām

English meaning: O brother! My Lord is of such a nature that he is fond of services. Whosoever adopts the Lord’s attributes, he will grant him a place in the eternal abode.

Verse 26

Ejī sāmī māro evo chhe, Je kenū na rākhe bhār; Ek vār sāmīne āliye, To sāmī āle so so vār

English meaning: O brother! My Lord is of such a nature that he does not keep anybody's obligation. If you offer the Lord once, the Lord will offer you hundreds of times.

Verse 29

Ejī sāmī bāhār jātāne gher pāiye, Sāmī jāher vase ghaṭmāṅhe; Je mānge te āl sāmīne, Pāchhū ma rākhīsh kāṅe

English meaning: O brother! The Lord is present in the house of those who search for him outside. The Lord is manifest in the heart. Offer to the Lord whatever he asks for; do not keep anything behind.

Verse 32

Ejī gur bhirmājī kahe tame sūṇo munivaro, Sāmīne srevo man draḍh karī; Jo ahiyāṅ deso to āgal leso, Tame adhīrā kāṅe thāvo vīr

English meaning: O brother! Gur Brahma says: O believers! Listen! Obey the Lord with a firm heart. If you will give here then you will take later. O brother! Why are you becoming impatient?

Verse 33

Ejī sāmī tame ja sāmī ne tame ja bhirmā, Avar na dūjā hī re koe; ṇe Sadardin kahe Pir Hasan Kabirdin, Evo Ginān vīchārīne joe

English meaning: O Lord! You are the Lord and you are the Brahma, and there is none other than you. Pir Sadardin (RA) and Pir Hasan Kabirdin (RA) say: Reflect on and see in the Ginans.
