Verse 1
shāhnā khat āviyā vīrā jampūdip māṅhe Sayyid lmām Shāh (r.a.) Ejī shāhnā khat āviyā vīrā jampūdip māṅhe, Kāiṅ lāvyā lāvyā Chandan Vīr
English meaning: O brother! My Lord's letter has come to the Indian subcontinent, which has been brought by Chandan Vir.
Verse 2
Ejī shāhnā khat vāṅchiyā Sayyad Indra Imāmdīn, Āj māre haeḍe harakh na māe
English meaning: O brother! Sayyid Indra Imam din (r.a.) read the letter of my Lord. Today my heart overflows with joy.
Verse 3
Ejī pāṅkhaḍiyā jo hove to shāhne jāi milūṅ, Shūṅ karūṅ māro pinḍaḍo na hāth
English meaning: O brother! If I had wings I would fly to meet my Lord but what can I do? My body is not in my control.
Verse 4
Ejī kandhodhar hove to kandh ūḍve, Evā joi joi karūṅ chhūṅ vichār
English meaning: O brother! If there be shoulder-bearer he should fly me on his shoulder; I keep reflecting over such thoughts.
Verse 5
Ejī phulḍā viṇāvo vīrā satiyūṅ taṇā, Jene nathī vāyā kaljugnā vāe
English meaning: O brother! Select true be lievers who are like flowers; those who are untouched by the winds of Kali Yuga (the present era).
Verse 6
Ejī rāhī ne dargāhī milī darge sonḍhiyā, Te to chāliyā āpṇe shāhne farmān
English meaning: O brother! The travelers and courtiers are together seeking his court; proceeding in accordance with the command of the Lord.
Verse 7
Ejī ratnāgar gāje atī ḍarāmṇā, Tiyāṅ kāyariyā kāiṅ chhānḍere prāṇ
English meaning: O brother! (On the path) the ocean roars most terrifyingly; there many cowards give up their lives.
Verse 8
Ejī vāgh ne siṅhḍā rāhiyūṅnā voḷāmṇā, Te chhe āpṇā shāhne pichhāṇ
English meaning: O brother! (On the path) tig ers and lions welcome these travelers and guide them. They also recognize our Lord.
Verse 9
Ejī ūṅchā ūṅchā ḍungar dīsere ḍaramṇā, Tiyāṅ vāe ṭāḍhā hemājalnā vāe
English meaning: O brother! (On the way) the lofty mountains seem fearful where cold and icy winds blow.
Verse 10
Ejī rāhī ne dargāhī milī darge pohotā, Jāi potā Kahek nagrī māṅhe
English meaning: O brother! The travelers and courtiers jointly reached the court (of Imam). They arrived at the town of Kahak.
Verse 11
Ejī Kahek nagrī dīse atī raliyāmaṇī, Tiyāṅ beṭhā āpṇā tribhovar rāe
English meaning: O brother! The town of Kahak seems very beautiful; there resides our Lord of the three worlds.
Verse 12
Ejī thāḷ bharāvo vīrā sag motīe, Vadhāvo āpṇā tribhovar rāe
English meaning: O brother! Fill the dishes with pearls; sacrifice them on our Lord of the three worlds.
Verse 13
Ejī Sayyad Indra Imāmdīn āshā mukhe boliyā ventī, Sāmī gatnā gunāh baksh karojī
English meaning: O brother! Sayyid Indra Imamdin (r.a.) entreatingly says: O Lord! Forgive the sins of the Jamat.
