Ejī sāmīkū āvantā jo kahe, Tākū lākh vadhāī; Pāṅch sakhī kero vālamo, Kene milīore bhāī; Sāmīkū ḍhūnḍhante dekhte, Ketā jug gayā, vīrā ketā bhav bhayā
English meaning: O my brother! The one who breaks the news of the Lord’s arrival, may he be congratulated a hundred thousand times. O brother! who has found the beloved of five friends? How many ages have passed in search of the Lord, O brother! how many lives have passed away.
Ejī sāmīke galeme hār hae, Hīra māṇak jaḍiyā; Jāṅkū bhāve tāṅkū det hae, Sāheb hae dil dariyā, sāmīkū«
English meaning: O my brother! There is a necklace adorning the Lord’s neck in which diamonds and gems are studded. Whosoever he likes he endows, the Lord is very generous.
Ejī sāmī māro chatūr sujāṇhae, Āpe sesṭ dīvān; Jiske bharose thir raheā, Raheā jamīn āsmān, sāmīkū«
English meaning: O my brother! My Lord is very clever and wise. He is the great administrator of the creation. (In some text the word is Se ṭh which means Lord or owner.) Upon His support the earth and the skies are extant.
Ejī jākī hī jugme jot hae, Me hūṅ bandīre tākī; Vachane vachane pāuṅ bharūṅ, Chandā suraj sāṅkhi, sāmīkū«
English meaning: O my brother! Whose light is in this world, I am a slave of him. The moon and the sun are witnesses of the fact that I take every step according to his command.
