Ejī til bhār tulṇā khanekī dhār chalṇā, Yā shāh til tilkā lekhā diaṇā mere jīvkū, To maeṅ kyā karūṅ jīv āpṇā; Āp savārath bhāi rātkā sapnā, Pinḍ savārath bhāi raeṇkā sapnā, To maeṅ«
English meaning: O brother! (On the Day of Judgment) man’s deeds, even sesame seed’s weight, will be weighed and he will have to walk on the edge of sword. O my Lord! My soul will have to account for deeds even of sesame seed’s weight. Then what can I do for the salvation of my soul? O brother! Selfishness is like the dream of night; self conceit is like the dream of night.
Verse 2
Ejī āgal hāṭ na pāṭ na vorā, Tiyāṅ satkā samar sāthe liaṇā mere jīvkū, To maeṅ«
English meaning: O brother! In the next world there will be no shop, no market and no purchaser. There my soul will have to carry the provision of truth with it.
Verse 3
Ejī tiyāṅ so so karaṇī sūraj tapshe, Tiyāṅ kiyā chhipnā kiyā ḍhūnḍṇā mere jīvkū, To maeṅ«
English meaning: O brother! There the sun will blaze with hundred-fold heat. There no question arises for my soul to hide and seek.
Verse 4
Ejī eso ginān Pīr bhaṇāve Sadardīn, Yā shāh fazal karo to jīv chhuṭṇā mere jīvkū, To maeṅ«
English meaning: O brother! Pir Sadardin (r.a.) says such Ginan. O my Lord! Have mercy so that my soul gets salvation.
