Verse 1
tum chet man mera, jugmāṅhe kon terā Sayyidā Imām Begum (r.a.) Ejītum chet man mera, jugmāṅhe kon terā; Mat khāo juṭhā phera, gur kahet hae pukār; Tum chet man merā. Ejī jugmāṅhe jo tu āyā, tuje miṭhī lāgī māyā; Kanchan sarikhī kāyā, so kyūṅ hovegi ugār; Tum chet man merā
English meaning: O my heart! Be cautious, who is yours in this world? Do not fall into the cycle unnecessarily; the true guide keeps calling out. O my heart! Be cautions. O brother! You came in the world and the love of the world tasted sweet to you. How will your gold-like body achieve salvation?
Verse 2
Ejī kāyā māyā sarve jūṭhī, jesi vāyukī muṭhī; Jyūṅ pāṇīkā parpoṭā, phuṭtā na lāge vār; Tum chet man merā
English meaning: O brother! The body and love f or the world are all false; they are like a fistful of wind. They are like a bubble of water, which takes no time to burst.
Verse 3
Eji nahīṅ terā bāp māi, nahīṅ terā ben bhāī; Nahīṅ terāsagā sāiṅ, jūṭhā hae sansār; Tum chet man merā
English meaning: O brother! Neither the father is yours nor is the mother. Neither the sister is yours nor is the brother (and) no relatives are yours. This world is false.
Verse 4
Ejī nahīṅ terāputra dhiā, nahīṅ teri triyā; Nahīṅ terā sagā siā, manmāṅhe tūvichār; Tum chet man merā
English meaning: O brother! Neither the son and daughter are yours nor the woman is yours (and) no relatives or strangers are yours. Think in your mind.
Verse 5
Ejījab Rab tuje bulāve, koi sāth nāhīṅ āve; Tuje gorme sulāve, sar upar tere bhār; Tum chet man merā
English meaning: O brother! When the Cherisher will call you then no one will accompany you. You will be made to sleep in the grave and a load (of mud) will be put upon you.
Verse 6
Ejīhardam zikar karnā, surat nirat un par dharnā; āhkājāp japnā, āṭh jām lailo nahār; Tum chet man merā
English meaning: O brother! Keep on remembering His name all the time; concentrate your thought constantly on it. Keep on repeating the name of Pir Shah during the eight pahors of day and night.
Verse 7
Ejīgatmāṅhe milo nitonit, pahelī ye māno sharīat; Tarīkat aor hakīkat, mārfatme manku mār; Tum chet man merā
English meaning: O brother! Keep on joining the Jamat regularly; this is the first Shariat. Adopt Tariqat and Haqiqat and annihilate your ego in Marifat.
Verse 8
Ejīgatmāṅhe jab āvo, tab hae zindāh bulāvo; Phal amrāpūrī pāvo, shāha pīrkā dīdār; Tum chet man merā
English meaning: O brother! When you come to Jamat Khana say 'Hae zinda'. Then you will attain the reward of the eternal abode and will be blessed with the didar of the Shah (Imam) and the Pir.
Verse 9
Ejīdān dasond dīje, nitonit amīras pīje; Ādhin hoi rahie, shāhā pīrke darbār; Tum chet man merā
English meaning: O brother! Offer Dasond (and) always partake of Ab-e- Shafa. Remain humble in the court of the Shah (Imam) and the Pir.
Verse 10
Ejīkahet Imām Begam, kalmāpaḍo hardam; Mat karnādujāgam, to pāvegād ī d ār; Tum chet man merā
English meaning: O brother! Sayyida Imam Begum (r.a.) says: Always recite the Kalima. Do not worry about anything else then you will attain Didar.
