Biography

Sayyid Imam Shah, son of Pir Hasan Kabirdin, carried his family’s teaching mission from Uch into Gujarat and made Pirana an important centre of devotional activity. His Ginans draw on the language of Satpanth, ethical discipline, remembrance, and the soul’s meeting with the True Guide. Community histories agree on his fifteenth-century birth but preserve both 1513 and 1520 as death dates.
